Description / Table of Contents:
Summary Various kinds of reactions which might be of use for the microchemical detection of organic compounds, are quoted. New spot tests for the detections of the following atomic groups and compounds, respectively, are described. 1. Sulfo- and Sulfinic Acid, or Sulfones: The alkali sulfite formed by fusing the sample with caustic potash, is identified. 2. Hydroxylamine and Oximes: They are oxidized, by means of iodine, to nitrous acid which is detected with the aid ofP. Griess's reagent. 3. Arylhydrazine, Hydrazone, and Osazone: They are oxidized, by means of selenious acid, to a diazonium salt which, in turn, is coupled withα-naphthylamine. 4. Glycerol and Glycerides: They are converted into acroleïn. This is detected with sodium nitroprusside and piperidine, or with o-dianisidine. 5. Aliphatic Secondary Amines: They give a colour reaction with sodium nitroprusside and acetaldehyde.
Abstract:
5. Aliphatische sekundäre Amine: Farbreaktion mit Nitroprussidnatrium und Acetaldehyd.
