Description:
Changes in the atmospheric electric conductivity and in the space charge accompanying lightning discharge were examined during summer in 1948-1950. It was found out that the conductivity increases remarkably at the time of lightning discharge. We might be able to say that this increase in the conductivity is attributable to an anomalous ionization by some mechanism accompanying lightning discharges. © 1950, Society of Geomagnetism and Earth, Planetary and Space Sciences.
