The interaction between guanidinium 12-molybdatophosphate and guanidinium carbonate, between sodium 12-wolframato- and 12-molybdatophosphate, respectively, and NaOH, and between potassium 12-wolframatosilicate and KOH has been investigated.The addition of even small amounts of alkali to the solutions of the dodeca-salts results in the formation of “unsaturated” heteropoly compounds. At these conditions, the existence of the so-called salts of high substitution has not been confirmed. The basicity of a saturated heteropoly acid is that of the nonmetal acid present in the mid-point of the structure.

Es wurden die Reaktionen von Guanidinphosphor-12-molybdat mit Guanidinecarbonat, von Natriumphosphor-12-wolframat und Natriumphosphor-12-molybdat mit NaOH, von Kaliumsilico-12-wolframat mit KOH untersucht.Dabei wurde gefunden, daß selbst kleine Mengen von hinzugefügtem Alkali zu einer Erhöhung der ph-Werte der untersuchten Lösungen und zur Bildung der Heteropolyverbindungen ungesättigter Reihen führen.Die Existenz der sogenannten Heteropolysalze hoher Substitution unter den beschriebenen Bedingungen ist widerlegt worden.Die Basizität der Heteropolysäuren entspricht der Basizität der Nichtmetall-Säure, welche in der Struktur der Heteropolysäuren enthalten ist.
