Reaction of perthioarylphosphonic anhydrides, (RPS2)2, with tri-n-butylphosphine yields inner tri-n-butylphosphonium dithioarylphosphonic salts or „arylphosphorus“, (RP)n, depending on the molar ratio of the reaction components. The chemical behaviour of the inner phosphonium phosphonates, a new class of compound, towards amines and SO2 is described. With alkyl halides perthioarylphosphonic anhydrides yield thiophosphonic halide thioesters, RP(S)(X)(S-alkyl); with phenylisocyanate or phenylisothiocyanate a new heterocyclus is formed containing two phosphorus atoms, one sulfur and one nitrogen atom. Pyridine and tertiary amines react with perthiophosphonic anhydrides to form inner pyridinium and ammonium dithiophosphonates, respectively.

Die Reaktion von Perthioarylphosphonsäureanhydriden, (RPS2)2, mit Tri-n-butyl-phosphin führt, je nach dem angewandten Molverhältnis, zu Tri-n-butylphosphonium-dithioarylphosphonsäure-betainen oder zu „Arylphosphoren“, (RP)n. Das chemische Verhalten der inneren Phosphoniumphosphonate, einer neuen Verbindungsklasse, gegenüber Aminen und SO2 ist beschrieben. Mit Alkylhalogeniden reagieren Perthioarylphosphonsäureanhydride zu Thiophosphonsäurehalogenid-thioestern, RP(S)(X) (S-alkyl), mit Phenylisocyanat oder Phenylisothiocyanat wird ein neuer Heterocyclus gebildet, der zwei Phosphoratome, ein Schwefel- und ein Stickstoffatom enthält. Pyridin und tertiäre Amine liefern mit Perthiophosphonsäureanhydriden innere Pyridinium- bzw. innere Ammonium-dithio-phosphonate.
