    Description / Table of Contents: The crystal structure of triclinic NbCl4F has been determined from threedimensional photographic X-ray data of single crystals. Coordinates and isotropic temperature factors of the atoms were obtained by FOURIER methods and refined by least-squares methodes. The structure is built up from tetrameric units. The niobium atoms occupy the corners of a nearly quadratic, planar Nb4F4 ring. The fluorine bridges are symmetrical and nearly linear.
    Notes: Die Kristallstruktur des triklinen NbCl4F wurde aus Einkristallröntgenaufnahmen mittels dreidimensionaler FOURIER- und Least-Squares-Methoden bestimmt. Es liegen tetramere Baueinheiten vor, wobei die Niobatome die Ecken in dem fast quadratisch ebenen Nb4F4-Grundgerüst einnehmen. Die Fluorbrücken sind symmetrisch und nur schwach gewinkelt.

    Description / Table of Contents: The IR and RAMAN spectra of the compounds NbCl4F and TaCl4F are reported, compared with the spectra of NbF5 and TaF5, and interpreted on the basis of the results of an X-ray analysis (symmetry D4h). The fluorine bridges in these compounds possess predominantly ionic character.
    Notes: Die IR- und RAMAN-Spektren des NbCl4F und TaCl4F werden mitgeteilt. Diese Spektren werden mit den röntgenographischen Strukturermittlungen und durch Vergleich mit den Spektren der Verbindungen NbF5 und TaF5 nach D4h-Symmetrie interpretiert.Für die Fluorbrückenbindungen in diesen Verbindungen ergibt sich ein stark heteropolarer Charakter.

    Description / Table of Contents: The crystal structure of TaCl4F (tetragonal; a = 12.71, c = 7,84 Å, Z = 8) consists of tetrameric units formed by TaCl4F2 octahedra which are linked via fluorine bridges to a slightly puckered, four-membered ring.
    Notes: TaCl4F kristallisiert tetragonal mit a = 12,71 ± 0,08 Å und c = 7,84 ± 0,05 Å. Die dreidimensionale Strukturermittlung, die mit den aus WEISSENBERG-Aufnahmen erhaltenen h k l-Reflexen (1 = 0 bis 5) durchgeführt wurde, ergab, daß TaCl4F im kristallisierten Zustand tetramere Baueinheiten enthält, in denen TaCl4F2-Oktaeder über Fluorbrücken zu einem schwach gewellten Vierring verbunden sind.

    Description / Table of Contents: The crystal structure of SbCl4OC2H5 has been determined from three projections along the crystallographic axes. Crystals are monoclinic. P21/n; a = 7.60, b = 11.54, c = 9.79 Å; β = 100°. In the structure pairs of octahedrally coordinated antimony atoms are linked by oxygen bridges. The IR and RAMAN spectra are reported.
    Notes: SbCl4OC2H5 kristallisiert monoklin mit a = 7,60, b = 11,54 und c = 9,79 Å, β = 100°. Die Röntgenstrukturanalyse wurde mittels der Projektionen längs der drei Hauptachsen durchgeführt. Im festen Zustand sind je zwei oktaedrisch koordinierte Sb-Atome über Sauerstoffbrücken verknüpft. Die IR- und RAMAN-Spektren werden mitgeteilt.
