Description / Table of Contents:
Abstract:
Notes:
Abstract Data on monthly variations of the duration of pregnancy, collected from the literature, were compared for man, cattle, buffalo and horse. This comparison showed a similar trend occurring in the different species, indicating the existence of a general factor, participating in causing the variations. The possibility that this factor is, in an indirect way, connected with daylight changes, is discussed.
