    Notes: The experimentally determined small-angle X-ray scattering curve is approximated by a Fourier series. For smoothing the scattering curve a limit for the correlation range of the difference of the electron density from the average is presupposed. The smoothing, the correction of the slit width error by deconvolution and the differentiation for the correction of slit height error are carried out with the Fourier coefficients. The smeared scattering curve is reconstructed by Fourier synthesis. The method makes it possible to correct scattering curves with random and no-random errors working with digital computers in on-line or off-line technique.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Die magnetische Suszeptibilität des Chroms und der binären, kubisch raumzentrierten Legierungen Cr-Re, Cr-Ru, Cr-Os, Cr-Mo und Cr-W wurden im Temperaturbereich 4,2°〈T〈700°K untersucht. Die antiferromagnetische Ordnung dieser Legierungen äußert sich in einer Verringerung der Spinsuszeptibilität. Durch Vergleich mit dem an den gleichen Proben gemessenen Koeffizienten der Elektronenwärme konnten die einzelnen Suszeptibilitätsanteile und der Einfluß von Elektron-Wechselwirkungen abgeschätzt werden.
    Abstract: Résumé La susceptibilité magnétique du chrome et des alliages binaires Cr-Re, Cr-Ru, Cr-Os, Cr-Mo et Cr-W, de structure cubique centrée, a été mesurée entre 4,2°K et 700°K. L’ordre antiferromagnétique de ces alliages entraîne une diminution de la susceptibilité de spin. Par la comparaison des résultats avec la chaleur spécifique électronique, mesurée dans les mêmes échantillons, les différentes contributions à la susceptibilité ainsi que l’influence des interactions électroniques ont pu être estimées.
    Notes: Abstract The magnetic susceptibility of chromium and b.c.c. binary alloys of Cr-Re, Cr-Ru, Cr-Os, Cr-Mo and Cr-W has been measured in the temperature range of 4,2°K to 700°K. These alloys exhibit a reduced spin susceptibility in the antiferromagnetic state. The comparison of the results with the electronic specific heat of the same samples yields an estimate of the different contributions to the susceptibility and of the influence of electron interactions.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Es wurde ein Verfahren entwickelt, bei dem reiner Sauerstoff anstelle von Luft bei der Verbrennung von Wasserstoff im Flammenionisationsdetektor eines Gas-Flüssig-Chromatographen verwendet wird. Bei Anwendung dieses Verfahrens auf die quantitative Messung gewisser Steroide, die in der Biologie von Bedeutung sind, konnten Detektor-Empfindlichkeiten beobachtet werden, die 2,7 bis 3,5 mal höhe sind als die mit Luft erhaltenen. Dieses System gestattet die genaue Messung von bis zu 1,0 ng solcher Verbindungen.
    Abstract: Sommaire Une technique à été mise au point qui utilise de l'oxygène pur au lieu de l'air pour la combustion d'hydrogène dans un détecteur à ionisation de flamme dans un chromatographe gaz-liquide. Si l'on applique cette technique à la détermination quantitative de certains stéroides d'importance biologique, on peut observer des sensibilités du détecteur de 2,7 à 3,5 fois plus élevées que celles obtenues avec l'air. Ce système permet la mesure exacte de quantités de ces composès allant jusqu'à 1,0 ng.
    Notes: Summary A technique using pure oxygen instead of air to support the combustion of hydrogen in a flame ionization detector of a gas-liquid chromatograph has been developed. When applying this technique to the quantification of certain steroids of biologic importance, increased detector sensitivities from 2.7 to 3.5 times those observed with air have been noted. This system permits the accurate measurement of as little as 1.0 ng. of these compounds.

    Description / Table of Contents: By treatment of a rhenium cathode with volatile organometallic thorium compounds such as Th(C5H5)4 the emission characteristics are notably improved. One can work at reduced cathode heating currents and therefore at lower ion source temperatures. This effect is maintained for several weeks or months.
    Notes: Durch Einwirkung flüchtiger metallorganischer Thorium-Verbindungen, z.B. Th(C5H5)4, auf Rhenium-Kathoden werden deren Emissionseigenschaften wesentlich verbessert. Es kann bei reduziertem Kathodenheizstrom und dadurch bei tieferen Ionenquellentemperaturen gearbeitet werden. Der Effekt hält über mehrere Wochen oder Monate an.
