    Description / Table of Contents: Sizing, design and testing of a centrifugal pump of tin bronze G-SnBZ 10 to be cathodically protectedThe well-known method of cathodic corrosion protection is applied to centrifugal pumps. A one-stage centrifugal pump is described to which impressed current is applied for the protection of the casing, a special rotor serving as the anode; a second anode is accommodated in the pressure side connection. Protection current data are shown for a pump casing of tin bronze and a rotor of platinized titanium under 0.1 N hydrochloric acid; potential applications ase discussed.
    Notes: Das bekannte Verfahren des kathodischen Korrosionsschutzes wird auf Kreiselpumpen übertragen. Eine Fremdstrom-gespeiste einstufige Kreiselpumpe wird beschrieben, bei der das Gehäuse kathodisch geschützt wird und ein spezielles Laufrad als Anode dient. Eine weitere Anode befindet sich im Druckstutzen.Am Beispiel eines aus Zinnbronze bestehenden Pumpengehäuses und eines Laufrades aus platiniertem Titan werden die Schutzstromdaten bei Beaufschlagung mit warmer 0,1 n-Salzsäure mitgeteilt und Anwendungsmöglichkeiten aufgezeigt.

    Description / Table of Contents: Development, processing and use of nitrogen alloyed high molybdenum steel X3CrNiMoN 17 13 5Addition of 0,15% Ni to the steel X5-CrNiMo 17 13 delays the precipitation of intermetallic phases and chromium carbides. The nitrogen containing steel can be welded up to a plate thickness of 30 mm without precipitation; hot cracking has not been observed either. The weld metal corresponds to the base material with respect to ductility and corrosion resistance. It is resistant to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking, in particular in mixed acids. Successful applications include textile industry (bleaching equipment, heating equipment), shipbuilding (driving shafts, exhaust gas coolers, waste gas condenser tubing), water desalination equipment, nuclear industry (evaporator for radioactive waste water, processing of radioactive waste in fluoride containing nitric acid), chemical industry (pressure container material, heat exchangers for brackish water).
    Notes: Zusatz von 0,15% N zum Stahl X5-CrNiMo 17 13 verzögert die Ausscheidung von intermetallischen Phasen und Cr-Carbiden. Der stickstoffhaltige Stahl läßt sich dann bis zu Blechdicken von etwa 30 mm schweißen, ohne daß Ausscheidungen auftreten; auch Warmrissigkeit wurde nicht beobachtet. Das Schweißgut entspricht hinsichtlich Zähigkeit und Korrosionsbeständigkeit dem Grundwerkstoff. Er ist gut beständig gegen Lochfraß, Spalt- und Spannungsrißkorrosion, besonders auch in Mischsäuren. Bisherige erfolgreiche Anwendungen umfassen die Textilindustrie (Bleichapparate, Dämpfapparate), den Schiffbau (Schiffswellen, Motorgaskühler, Abgaskondensatleitungen), Meerwasserentsalzungsanlagen, Atomtechnik (Eindampfer für radioaktive Abwässer, Aufbereitung radioaktiver Abfallprodukte in fluoridhaltiger Salpetersäure), chemische Industrie (Druckbehälterwerkstoff, Wärmeaustauscher für Brackwasser).

    Description / Table of Contents: Preparation and properties of 1.3-dimethyl-2.4-dithio-2.4-diazido-1.3-diaza-2.4-diphosphetidine are described. The chemical shift of this compound has been found to be -58.5 ppm. The stretching frequencies νas (NNN) and νsym(NNN) have been found to be 2160 and 1250 cm-1, respectively. Reaction of this compound with ditertiary phosphines yields polymers with molecular weights up to 2600. These polymers decompose around 100°C.
    Notes: Die Synthese und Eigenschaften von 1.3-Dimethyl-2.4-dithio-2.4-diazido-1.3-diaza-2.4-diphosphetidin werden beschrieben. Für die chemische Verschiebung dieser Verbindung werden -58,5 ppm gefunden. Für νas(NNN) findet man 2160 cm-1, für νsym(NNN) 1250 cm-1. Bei der Umsetzung dieses Azids mit Bis-diphenylphosphino-methan oder 1.2 Bis-diphenylphosphino-äthan werden Polymere mit Molekulargewichten bis zu 2600 erhalten. Die Polymeren zersetzen sich bei Temperaturen um 100°C.

    Description / Table of Contents: Properties and syntheses of heteroorganic oligomers (3a-e) from silylazides and ditertiary phosphines (2b-e), or tetraphenylbiphosphine (2a), respectively, are reported. One of the products (3a) has a complete inorganic skeleton of the atomic sequence SiNPPN. Molecular weight measurements of oligomers synthetized in solution give values of M̄n near 1000, those of substances prepared in bulk give rise to values up to 4 300 depending on the phosphine used. The reaction can be followed by IR-spectroscopic measurements: v(P=N) of the synthesized compounds is tabulated. 31P-NMR measurements are of particular importance, because they permit statements about end and middle groups, i.e. about the structure of the products.
    Notes: Es wird über Darstellung und Eigenschaften von heteroorganischen Oligomeren (3a-e). ausgehend von Silylaziden und ditertiären Phosphinen (2b-e) bzw. Tetraphenylbiphosphin (2a), berichtet. Eines der Produkte (3a) hat ein rein anorganisches Grundgerüst mit der Atomfolge SiNPPN. Molekulargewichtsbestimmungen von in Lösung synthetisierten Substanzen ergeben für M̄n Werte um 1000. Die Kondensation in Substanz führte zu Werten zwischen 2 400 und 4 300, je nach eingesetztem Phosphin. IR-spektroskopische Messungen gestatten es, den Verlauf der Reaktion zu verfolgen; die Lage von v(P=N) der synthetisierten Substanzen wird festgelegt. Von besonderer Wichtigkeit sind die 31P-NMR-Untersuchungen, da sie Aussagen hinsichtlich Mittel- und Endgruppen und damit über die Struktur der Produkte erlauben.

    Description / Table of Contents: Results of structural investigations of oligomeric and polymeric siloxanes with different substituents by high resolution 29Si-NMR spectroscopy are reported. It is possible to distinguish end-, middle-, and branching groups and to measure coupling constants J(29Si-CAlkyl-H) by 29Si-NMR-spectroscopy of some of the investigated substances. The number of the lines of the 29Si-multiplet depends on the number of the methyl groups bonded to Si. This means that another possibility exists for determination of the different functional groups. 29Si-NMR-spectra of some technical silicones also have been obtained.
    Notes: Es wird über die Strukturuntersuchungen von oligomeren und polymeren Siloxanen mit verschiedenen Substituenten durch 29Si-Hochauflösungs-Kernresonanzspektroskopie berichtet. Infolge der erreichten hohen Auflösung gelingt es nicht nur bei entsprechender Konzentration End-, Mittel- und Verzweigungsgruppen zu unterscheiden, sondern auch die Kopplungskonstante J(29Si-CAlkyl-H) bei einigen der untersuchten Verbindungen aus dem 29Si-KMR-Spektrum zu bestimmen. Die von der Zahl der an Silicium gebundenen Methylgruppen abhängige Zahl der Linien des 29Si-Multipletts gestattet ebenfalls eine Unterscheidung der verschiedenen funktionellen Gruppen. Ferner wurden einige technische Silikone vermessen.
