Description / Table of Contents: Organometalphosphine Substituted Transition Metal Complexes, X. (Organometalphosphine)tetracarbonyliron ComplexesPentacarbonyliron reacts on u. v. irradiation with tri(tert-butyl)-, tris(trimethylsilyl)-, tris(tri-methylgermyl)-, and tris(trimethylstannyl)phosphine with displacement of one CO-ligand to give the corresponding tris[(triorganoelement-IVa)phosphine]tetracarbonyliron complexes. The same compounds can also be synthesized by elimination of pentacarbonyliron from enneacarbonyldiiron in the presence of the tris(triorganoelement-IVa)phosphines. The i. r., 1H n. m. r., and 31P n. m. r. spectroscopic data of the complexes are reported and discussed.
Description / Table of Contents: Alkyl- and Arylfluorophosphines as Ligands in Transition Metal Complexes with Metals in the Positive Oxidation State, II. Penta- and Hexacoordinated Complexes of Difluorophenylphosphine with Cobalt and Nickel HalidesDifluorophenylphosphine forms stable complexes of the type MX2(C6H5PF2)3 (where M = NiII, CoIIand X = Br, I) with nickel(II) and cobalt(II) bromide and iodide. The complexes CoICl(C6H5PF2)4 and CoIIICl3(C6H5PF2)3 are formed in a redox disproportionation in the reaction of cobalt(II) chloride and difluorophenylphosphine. The analogous bromo complexes are obtained by reaction between cobalt(II) bromide and excess difluorophenyl-phosphine. The structures of the complexes are discussed on the basis of their 19F n.m.r., u.v., and i.r. spectra.
Notes: Difluorphenylphosphin bildet mit Nickel(II)- und Kobalt(II)-bromid und -jodid pentakoordinierte Komplexe des Typs MX2(C6H5PF2)3 (M = Co11, Ni11, X = Br. J).
