SUMMARY— A wet process is described for separating selected grain sorghum fractions into a prime and coarse starch fraction. Ammonium hydroxide solutions are used to slurry the sorghum fractions. The slurries are centrifuged and the resulting starch layers are mechanically separated. This process quickly separates the starch from dry-milled by-products of grain sorghum.
