Abstract The changes in activity level ofBrachymeria intermedia (Nees) were studied by exposing adults to 15.5°, 21° and 26.5°C and light intensities of about 97, 195 and 260 ft-c. Flight and locomotory movements increased as temperature and light intensity increased. Significant peaks in activity occurred during the photophase. No activity was observed during the scotophase.
