    Notes: Abstract Complexes of deoxycholic acid with polyethers, [−(CH2) m−1CHR−O−] n (R=H,m=2–4, 6 andR=CH3,m=2), were prepared. The crystals are orthorhombic and similar to those most commonly observed for complexes with low molecular weight molecules. Dimensiona in the poly(propylene oxide) complex is about 1 Å longer than those in other polyether complexes, whileb andc do not differ much in these DCA-polyether complexes.

    Description / Table of Contents: Der Einfluß der irreguläaren chemischen Struktur auf Schmelzpunkt, Dichte und Kristallstruktur von 6-66- und 6-68- Copolyamiden wurde untersucht. Die Abhängigkeit des Schmelzpunktes von der Zusammensetzung der Copolyamide weist ein Minimum auf. Die hinsichtlich der unterschiedlichen Molekülmassen der Comonomere korrigierte Dichte hat ein Minimum bei ähnlicher Zusammensetzung. Die Röntgenbeungungswinkel der beiden Hauptreflexe, (200) und (202/002) für Polyamid 6 bzw. (100) und (110/010) für die Polyamide 66 und 68, nähern sich in den Copolyamiden. Bei schmelzkristallisierten 6-66-Copolyamiden war die Annähereung der Reflexe besonders ausgeprägt, und die Kristallstruktur des Copolyamids mit 30 Mol-% des 66-Monomers liegt sehr nahe bei einer pseudo-hexagonalen Struktur. Beim Tempern in kochendem Wasser werden die Kristallite leicht in die α-Form überführt.
    Notes: The effect of irregularity of chemical structure on melting points, densities and crystal structures was studied for 6-66 and 6-68 copolyamides. All copolyamides showed V-shaped melting point vs. composition curves. The densities, corrected for the difference in molecular weights between comonomers, also showed a minimum at similar compositions with respect to melting points. X-ray diffraction angles of the two main reflections, (200) and (202/002) in polyamide 6, and (100) and (110/010) in polyamides 66 and 68, respectively, approached in the copolymers. In melt-crystallized 6-66 copolyamides, the approach of the reflections was especially prominent, and the crystal structure of the copolyamide containing 30 mole-% of the 66 monomer was rather close to pseudo-hexagonal. The crystallites are transformed easily to the α from by annealing in boiling water.
