Abstract The results of an experimental investigation of the effect of flow contraction in the convergent nozzle of a subsonic wind tunnel on the level of turbulence are reported. The method of conducting the experiments and analyzing the data, which makes it possible to eliminate the effect of secondary factors on the results, is explained.
