    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Für vier quer angeströmte Ovalrohrbündel mit gleichen Längs-, aber unterschiedlicher Querteilungen wurden sowohl der lokale Stoffübergangskoeffizient und die Druckverteilung um ein einzelnes Ovalrohr im Bündel als auch der Gesamtdruckverlust und die mittlere Sherwood-Zahl für das Bündel experimentell ermittelt. Die gemessenen Druckverlustkoeffizienten und Sherwood-Zahlen lassen sich mit den Beziehungen für die Plattenströmung sehr gut wiedergeben, wenn ein zusätzlicher Diffusordruckverlust berücksichtigt wird. Damit kann der Wärmeübergang allein aus Meßwerten für den Druckverlust und die Druckverteilung um ein einzelnes Ovalrohr im Bündel berechnet werden.
    Notes: Abstract For four different tube-banks having the same longitudinal but different transversal pitches the local mass transfer coefficient, the pressure distribution around a single tube inside the bank, the pressure drop and the mean mass transfer coefficient have been experimentally determined. The measured pressure drop coefficient as well as the Sherwood-number are in excellent agreement with those calculated for the flow over a plane plate if an additional diffusor-pressure-drop is taken into account. Therefore, for the tube-banks considered, the mass transfer rate can be obtained just from measurements of the overall pressure drop and the pressure distribution around a single tube inside the bank.
