Notes:
The thermal properties of complexes between poly(2-carboxyethylmethylsiloxane) and poly-(dimethylsiloxane) are investigated. The results of DSC measurements indicate that the first-order transition of the complexes is affected by the amount of poly(dimethylsiloxane) in the complex. From dynamic viscoelasticity measurements, it is inferred that the complex exhibits entropy elasticity due to a network structure maintained by hydrogen bonds.
