Notes: [Auszug] The histone variant H2AZ is incorporated preferentially at specific locations in chromatin to modulate chromosome functions. In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, deposition of histone H2AZ is mediated by the multiprotein SWR1 complex, which catalyzes ATP-dependent exchange of nucleosomal histone H2A for ...

Description: Hourly values of the critical frequency of the ionospheric F region, foF2, obtained at Chongqing ionospheric observatory (geographic 29.50N, 106.40E), China, during the interval of 1977 to 1997 (solar cycle 21 and 22) have been used to investigate the dependence of the monthly median foF2 on solar activity and geomagnetic activity, and to construct single-station model (SSM) using Fourier expansion. The results of the present analysis show that there is a significant nonlinear relationship between monthly median foF2 and sunspot number R especially at daytime in each month and nighttime in summer. Furthermore, introducing geomagnetic index Ap further improves the description of variation of monthly median foF2, and the standard deviations decrease also dependently on time and month. Thus the complex influence of solar activity and geomagnetic activity may be approximately expressed by a general multiple nonlinear function at Chongqing station, China. The basic aim of this paper is to show that considering the nonlinear influence both of solar activity and geomagnetic activity improves the monthly median model. The SSM is in good agreement with observations, with standard deviation 0.65MHz, while IRI model has a lower accuracy with standard deviation 0.96MHz.

Notes: A new electron beam radiation method was developed to prepare spinel-type nanocrystallineZnFe2O4 at room temperature and ambient pressure, without any kind of catalysts. The structure, morphology and size were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electronmicroscopy (TEM), infrared spectroscopy (IR). The obtained Nanocrystalline ZnFe2O4 particleshave Spinel structure, spherical shape morphology and a mean particle size distribution of 20 and40 nm

Notes: The effect of processing parameters on the semi-solid microstructure has beeninvestigated in the course of semi-solid slurry preparation of A356 Al alloy by ultrasonic vibrationmethod. The A356 melt in temperature of 630660°C was poured into a special metal cup, andexposed to ultrasonic vibration at 20 kHz or isothermal holding for a certain time after vibration. The results show that the semi-solid slurry with primary α-Al crystals smaller than 90 μm and anaverage shape coefficient F S (SF was defined as SF4 A/L2P) above 0.5 could be prepared byultrasonic vibration for a time less than 144 s. In the isothermal holding period after a short time ofultrasonic vibration, the average particle diameter increased with the increase of holding time, butF S decreased at first, and then increased a little. It was discovered that ultrasonic vibration is a goodmethod to prepare semi-solid slurry with fine and relatively round primary crystals due to cavitationand acoustic streaming effects

Notes: The preparation of semi-solid slurry of hypereutectic Al-Si alloy by Ultrasonic Vibration(USV) has been studied. The A390 alloy melt was poured into a preheated metal cup, andsubsequently the ultrasonic vibrator was dipped into the melt and USV was imposed. The solidifiedmicrostructure of the slurry has been analyzed, and the mechanical properties of the alloy have beentested by making samples through diecasting of the slurry. The results show that the primary Siparticles of A390 alloy became finer, rounder and uniformly distributed in microstructure of A390alloy slurry if imposed with USV, and average diameter of primary Si particles was about 20μm. WithUSV, the ultimate tensile strength and the hardness of rheo-casted samples increased by over 25% andnear 50% respectively besides the elongation rose by above 100%. After heat treatment, themechanical properties were further improved. In addition, the mechanism of preparation of semi-solidslurry of hypereutectic Al-Si alloy by USV is discussed

Notes: Langasite (La3Ga5SiO14, LGS) and its isomorphs, were regarded as potential substratematerials for surface acoustic wave (SAW) and bulk acoustic wave (BAW) applications. Among thesehomologous compounds, the ordered structure crystals have attracted much attention for their low Ga2O3content, high acoustic velocity and low acoustic loss. In this work, the ordered langasite structure crystalsCa3NbGa3Si2O14 (CNGS) were grown with vertical Bridgman method for the first time. The CNGScrystals with 25mm in diameter and 40mm in length were grown successfully from its stoichiometric meltthrough LGS crystal of Ø10mm×40mm being chosen as seed. X-ray powder diffraction experimentsshowed that the CNGS single crystals had a single phase and had the same structure as the LGS crystal. The transmittance spectra with the wavelength from 200 to 800nm were recorded by means ofSpectrophotometer at room temperature

Notes: A new method for fabricating crack is introduced by pressing the wedge on bar. The pathof the crack propagation is not regular when the ratio of length and diameter is less than 1.8 on thesymmetrical support. The load of the wedge for pressing the notch is given in this paper. The 2-Dfinite element is applied to simulate the crack propagation by the maximum normal stress theory. The experimental results show that the quality of the fracture section will vary with the span on thethree-point bending. In order to control the crack propagation along the desired section regularly, the asymmetrical three-point bending is proposed. The simulation results show that when thedifference of the two spans is between 11 and 22 in asymmetrical three-point bending under theparameters condition, the good quality of the section will be obtained, and the experimental resultsalso strong support the conclusion

Notes: The anti-reducing sintering of (Ca,Sr,Ba)TiO3-based dielectrics was achieved by the cooperatingeffect of Mn2+, Ca2+, Mg2+, Dy3+ and Yb3+. A small quantity of Zr4+ partly substitution for Ti4+ canimprove the temperature dependence of dielectric constant. But ZrO2 will also reduce the solid solubilityof BaTiO3-SrTiO3-CaTiO3 ternary system, and may cause phase separation. The separated ferroelectricphase increases the capacitance change under DC bias. Non-reducible (Ca,Sr,Ba)(Ti,Zr)O3-based dielectricswith single orthorhombic phase of perovskite structure was obtained. The dielectric and DC biasproperties are: .C/C (DC bias: 1.5kV/mm) 〈0.05%, ε =250~300, tgδ 〈 0.5%
