Description:
The hard drives of nine computers, containing epidemiological data gathered from around India, have been stolen from the Indian Council of Medical Research. The missing data, stored on personal computers in the council's Epidemiological and Communicable Diseases unit, include published and unpublished information collected by 16 regional centers on the incidence of AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, and other killers. Health officials say they have no idea who stole the drives, or for what purpose.〈br /〉〈span class="detail_caption"〉Notes: 〈/span〉Bagla, P -- New York, N.Y. -- Science. 2000 Dec 1;290(5497):1668b-9b.〈br /〉〈span class="detail_caption"〉Record origin:〈/span〉 〈a href="http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17798202" target="_blank"〉PubMed〈/a〉
