    Description: Schlussfolgern setzt voraus, dass die schlussfolgernde Person sieht, dass ihre Konklusion aus den Prämissen folgt und sie sie deswegen aus den Prämissen herleitet. Dies hat Paul Boghossian jüngst als eine Bedingung für eine adäquate Erklärung des Schlussfolgerns formuliert. Der Autor entwickelt eine Erklärung, die sich diese Bedingung zum Maßstab setzt. Zugleich greift er kritisch in die neuere Debatte zum Thema ein, in der der Vollzug einer Schlussfolgerung zumeist als kausale Abfolge mentaler Einstellungen verstanden wird. Indem er auf Immanuel Kants Verständnis von Urteil und Schluss zurückgreift, weist der Autor diese Annahme zurück und entwickelt einen alternativen Erklärungsansatz. Der systematische Anspruch des Buches wird so zugleich historisch verortet und untermauert.

As Congress reauthorizes the program, it is considering whether to allow partial use of SBIR set-asides for SBIR program administration costs and, if so, at what levels. In this report, the authors estimate how much it currently costs to administer the DoD SBIR program.

Einer der emblematischsten Fälle ist die soziale Bewegung gegen ein Prestige-Projekt der Morales-Regierung: den Bau einer Straße im Indigenen Territorium und Nationalpark Isiboro Sécure (TIPNIS) im bolivianischen Amazonasgebiet. Mit Blick auf die Perspektiven der heterogenen Protestakteur*innen rekonstruiert Maximilian Held diesen Widerstand in seinen komplexen Erscheinungsformen. Dabei stellt er heraus, wie Problematiken der geschwächten indigenen Selbstverwaltung, sozioökologische Bedrohungen, Defizite des neoextraktiven Entwicklungsmodells und mangelnde Rechtsumsetzung zusammenhängen.

    Description: The incremental hole drilling method is used and further developed to determine residual stress states in thick film systems. The application limits regarding the applicability on film systems and the influence of the system's built up is examined by finite element simulations. A new evaluation method for the hole drilling method is proposed. Using this method residual stress states in thick film systems can be determined reliably in the coating, at the interface and also in the substrate.

    Immobilisation dose rates for Weddell seals during expedition NEU2022 (2023)

    Description: Weddell seals (Leptonychotes weddellii) were immobilised during expedition NEU2022 (ANT-Land 2022/2023) for the purpose of deployments with infrared (IR) camera loggers (CAM). The IR-CAM deployments (n=17) were located in the Atka-Bay in the vicinity to the Neumayer Station III (DE), eastern Weddell Sea. The seals were searcher by Skidoo and captured along tidal within the bay and immobilised and instrumented on fast (bay) ice with infrared video camera loggers (IR-CAMs, Little Leonardo, JP) to investigate their foraging behaviour in the context of sea ice features inside the bay.

    Description: The mass magnetic susceptibility (MS) was analyzed on wet bulk sediment aliquots using a KLY-2 Kappabridge (AGICO, Brno, Czech Republic). MS measurements were carried out on sample containers of 2 x 2 x 1.6 cm (i.e. a sample volume of 6.4 cm3), which frequently are used for palaeo and rock magnetic measurements. The only exceptions are samples 12 and 33, which did not contain sufficient material.
