    Description: Understanding the trajectory, duration, and determinants of antibody responses after SARS-CoV-2 infection can inform subsequent protection and risk of reinfection, however large-scale representative studies are limited. Here we estimated antibody response after SARS-CoV-2 infection in the general population using representative data from 7,256 United Kingdom COVID-19 infection survey participants who had positive swab SARS-CoV-2 PCR tests from 26-April-2020 to 14-June-2021. A latent class model classified 24% of participants as ‘non-responders’ not developing anti-spike antibodies, who were older, had higher SARS-CoV-2 cycle threshold values during infection (i.e. lower viral burden), and less frequently reported any symptoms. Among those who seroconverted, using Bayesian linear mixed models, the estimated anti-spike IgG peak level was 7.3-fold higher than the level previously associated with 50% protection against reinfection, with higher peak levels in older participants and those of non-white ethnicity. The estimated anti-spike IgG half-life was 184 days, being longer in females and those of white ethnicity. We estimated antibody levels associated with protection against reinfection likely last 1.5-2 years on average, with levels associated with protection from severe infection present for several years. These estimates could inform planning for vaccination booster strategies.

    Description: The archaeological assemblage from the Hyde Park Barracks is one of the largest, most comprehensive and best preserved collections of artefacts from any 19th-century institution in the world. Concealed for up to 160 years in the cavities between floorboards and ceilings, the assemblage is a unique archaeological record of institutional confinement, especially of women. The underfloor assemblage dates to the period 1848 to 1886, during which a female Immigration Depot and a Government Asylum for Infirm and Destitute Women occupied the second and third floors of the Barracks. Over the years the women discarded and swept beneath the floor thousands of clothing and textile fragments, tobacco pipes, religious items, sewing equipment, paper scraps and numerous other objects, many of which rarely occur in typical archaeological deposits. These items are presented in detail in this book, and provide unique insight into the private lives of young female migrants and elderly destitute women, most of whom will never be known from historical records.

    Description: Paulus als interkultureller Vermittler: Wie der Jude Paulus als Christusgläubiger sein Evangelium unter den Menschen aus den Völkern verbreitete. Der als Jude geborene Apostel Paulus sah sich berufen, das Evangelium der Auferstehung Christi unter den Völkern zu vermitteln. Die vorliegende kulturwissenschaftlich geprägte Studie zeigt auf, dass und in welcher Weise Paulus seine bikulturelle Persönlichkeit einsetzte, um die Menschen aus den Völkern für seine Version des Evangeliums von Jesus Christus zu gewinnen. Im Fokus der Untersuchung zu Paulus als Vermittler in einem Kulturtransfergeschehen stehen die paulinischen Selbstbeschreibungen, insbesondere deren „Spitzensätze“ (1 Kor 9,19–23) sowie als beispielhafte Manifestation seiner Adaptabilität die Selbstdarstellung als Wettkämpfer (1 Kor 9,24–27).

    Description: Construction of comprehensive and detailed brain regions neuroanatomical connections matrices (macro-connectomes) is necessary to understand how the nervous system is organized and to elucidate how its different parts interact. Macro-connectomes also are the structural foundation of any finer granularity approaches at the neuron classes and types (meso-connectomes) or individual neuron (micro-connectomes) levels. The advent of novel neuroanatomical methods, as well as combinations of classic techniques, form the basis of several large scale projects with the ultimate goal of producing publicly available connectomes at different levels. A parallel approach, that of systematic and comprehensive collation of connectivity data from the published literature and from publicly accessible neuroinformatics platforms, has produced macro-connectomes of different parts of the central nervous system (CNS) in several mammalian species. The emergence of these public platforms that allow for the manipulation of rich connectivity data sets and enable the construction of CNS macro-connectomes in different species may have significant and long lasting implications. Moreover, when these efforts are leveraged by novel statistical methods, they may influence our way of thinking about the brain. Hence, the present brain region-centric paradigm may be challenged by a network-centric one. Ultimately, these projects will provide the information and knowledge for understanding how different neuronal parts communicate and function, developing novel approaches to diseases and disorders, and facilitating translational efforts in neurosciences. With this Research Topic we bring together the current state of macro-connectome related projects including the large scale production of thousands of publicly available neuronatomical experiments, databases with tens of thousands of connectivity records collated from the published literature, and the newest methods for displaying and analyzing this information. This topic also includes a wide range of challenges and how they are addressed - from platforms designed to integrate connectivity data across different sources, species and CNS levels of organization, to languages specifically designed to use these data in models at different scales of resolution, to efforts of 3D reconstruction and data integration, and to approaches for extraction and representation of this knowledge. Finally, we address the present state of different efforts of meso-connectomes construction, and of computational modeling in the context of the

    Description: New Zealand’s position straddling the Australian and Pacific plate boundary means it experiences both secular plate motion, and non-secular motions associated with earthquakes. The purpose of New Zealand's 39 PositioNZ CORS sites are to maintain the national datum as these events occur. Positions and velocities from the PositioNZ network are used to develop a deformation model which translates between present day IGS20 coordinates into NZGD2000. Maintaining an up-to-date deformation model is a technical challenge in the face of ongoing earthquake deformation and New Zealand's small tax base is unable to pay for a dense network of GNSS sites that would allow for more comprehensive land movement monitoring. Our long term datum monitoring is done through a homogeneously reprocessed solution including historical data from 39 PositioNZ CORS sites, 149 Geonet CORS sites, and 157 private CORS sites (new addition) all aligned to 195 IGS20 core reference sites using a double difference strategy on Bernese 5.4 GPS software. This solution is computed with IGS Final products from 27 November 2022 to present, and re-analysed products from 2000 - 2020. This solution applies newly available models in Bernese 5.4 including for FES2016b ocean tide loading, apriori troposphere values from VM3G, and DESAI2016 sub-daily pole model and IERS2010_V1.2.0 mean pole model. The results of this solution will be presented and discussed, including the effect of switching to from IGB14 to IGS20 and an assessment of the suitability and value added by including CORS sites installed for a variety of purposes in our network solution.

    Description: Monitoring the Earth is undertaken in numerous geometric and physical reference frames and coordinate reference systems. Analysis often requires transformation of coordinates between these frames. As the accuracy of positioning and geospatial data improves, the use of gridded data to describe the quantities used in these coordinate transformations is increasing. Rectangular grids also provide an efficient means of disseminating geodetic data. IAG Commission 1 Working Group 1.3.1 in association with the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) have developed a Geodetic data Grid eXchange Format (GGXF) for quantifying and disseminating gridded geodetic data. GGXF was developed in conjunction with a functional model for deformation (DMFM) including support for time-dependent changes, but has been designed to support any type of regularly-gridded geodetic data including but not limited to geoid models, offsets between reference frames (of one, two or three dimensions), velocity grids, tidal surfaces, etc. The purpose of GGXF is to provide a comprehensive, efficient distribution format through which producers can disseminate gridded geodetic data and users can exchange and apply this information. This presentation gives an overview of the GGXF format and describes how it can be applied in geodetic practice.
