    Notes: Zusammenfassung Die bei der Diffusion von Natronlauge in mit Formaldehyd gegerbten Gelatine-Chlornatrium-Gallerten entstehenden Schrumpfungs-Strukturen sind auf innere strukturelle Veränderungen der Mizellarverbände der Gallerte zurückzuführen. Das in dünner Schicht im voraus gegerbte Häutchen der Gallerte schmiegt sich dabei eng den inneren groben Strukturelementen an und folgt vollständig den Richtungen, welche den gröberen inneren Strukturbildungen zugrunde liegen. Bei Spannungen entstehen demnach radial nach dem Diffusionszentrum zu gerichtele Schrumpfungslinien und bei Zusammenziehung der Mizellarverbände entstehen konzentrische Ringsysteme. Abweichungen und Strukturstörungen innerhalb dieser Schrumpfungs-Struktursysteme können durch winzige, aus den feinen Poren der Oberfläche des Häutchens austretende Natronlaugetröpfchen verursacht werden, indem diese als selbständige Diffusionszentren nicht nur sich gegenseitig, sondern auch bereits vorhandene Diffusionsfelder beeinflussen. Aber auch diejenigen inneren Teile, die zu diesen neuen Diffusionszentren gehören, unterliegen denselben Gesetzen struktureller Veränderung wie das Hauptdiffusionszentrum.

    Notes: Zusammenfassung Die Kristallisations-Erscheinungen in der Formaldehyd-Gelatine-Gallerte sind auf die orientierenden Einflüsse der Formaldehyd-Kondensation und Polymerisations-Produkte auf die Mizellen der α-Gelatine zurückzuführen. Bei den beobachteten kugelförmigen Kristallbildungen ist die Lage der einzelnen Mizellen eine radiale in Form von konzentrischen Kugelschalen, und verhält sich dementsprechend das Gebilde optisch genau so wie ein Kristalltropfen. Die zahlreichen hiervon abweichenden Formen kommen durch Deformation infolge Spannungs-Erscheinungen während des Eintrocknens der Gallerte zustande, wobei die Anordnung der Mizellen sich mehr und mehr der fibrillaren Struktur nähert. Dieselbe fibrillare Struktur besitzen auch die bei abweichender Versuchsanordnung erhaltenen Sphärokristalle.

    Notes: Abstract Deuterons of 10 keV energy and protons with the same mean projected range have been implanted into several metals at a temperature of approximately 35 K and at dose rates of approximately 2 × 1014 cm−2 s−1. The amount of retained deuterium saturates at fluences larger than roughly 2 × 1018 cm−2. After implantation of deuterons and subsequent bombardment with protons, the deuteron depth profiles show characteristic double peak structures, which indicate a replacement process. The experimental data are in good agreement with a simple model of local saturation and mixing. The possible implications of this model are discussed.
