    Description / Table of Contents: On the Ozonization Reactions of Iodine in Strong Inorganic Oxoacids: Preparation and Structure of Iodosyl CompoundsThe oxidation of elemental iodine with ozone in strong inorganic acids is a mild method for the preparation of iodosyl compounds. The formation of iodosyl sulfate in conc. sulfuric acid, of iodosyl fluorosulfate in fluorosulfonic acid and of iodosyl nitrate in non-aqueous nitric acid are described. The vibrational spectra of these compounds will be discussed.
    Notes: Die Oxidation von elementarem Iod mit Ozon in starken anorganischen Säuren ist eine schonende Methode zur Darstellung von Iodosylverbindungen. Es wird die Bildung von Iodosylsulfat in konz. Schwefelsäure, von Iodosylfluorsulfat in Fluorsulfonsäure und von Iodosylnitrat in wasserfreier Salpetersäure beschrieben. Die Schwingungsspektren der erhaltenen Produkte werden diskutiert.

    Description / Table of Contents: Investigations on the Preparation of Trifluormethyl Compounds of the Elements Mercury, Tellurium, and Xenon(CF3)2Hg is formed from the reactions of C2F6 with Hg, HgX2 (X = Cl, Br, I) or HgO in a chemical plasma. The best yields are obtained with Hg and HgO. The reaction of C2F6 with Te yields (CF3)2Te2, which also can be identified in small amounts from the reactions of C2F6 with TeX4 (X = Cl, Br). A similar reaction with Xe does not give any evidence for the formation of a noble gas compound.
    Notes: (CF3)2Hg entsteht bei den plasmachemischen Reaktionen von C2F6 mit Hg, HgX2 (X = Cl, Br, I) oder HgO, wobei die besten Ausbeuten bei den Umsetzungen mit Hg oder HgO erzielt werden. Bei den Reaktionen von C2F6 mit Te wird (CF3)2 Te2 gebildet, das bei der Umsetzung von C2F6 mit TeX4 (X = Cl, Br) nur in Spuren nachweisbar ist. Eine Übertragung dieser Reaktionen auf Xe ergab keinen Hinweis auf die Bildung einer Edelgasverbindung.
