    Description / Table of Contents: Chemistry of Reactive Cations Derived from Sulfur Dioxide Analogues, IV1).  -  N-Methyl-N-sulfinylmethanaminium Salts  -  Reactions with Carbonyl and Thiocarbonyl CompoundsN-Methyl-N-sulfinylmethanaminium tetrafluoroborate (1) reacts with aromatic aldehydes by elemination of SO2 to form the imonium salts 3, with thiones, dithiocarboxylic, and trithiocarbonic acid derivatives by formal loss of S2O to give the imonium salts 5, 7, 10, and 12. The rotation barrier around the CN bond has been determined for 10 as 69.5 and for 12 as 77.8 kJ/mol.
    Notes: N-Methyl-N-sulfinylmethanaminium-tetrafluoroborat (1) reagiert mit aromatischen Aldehyden unter SO2-Abspaltung zu den Imoniumsalzen 3, mit Thionen, Dithiocarbonsäure- und Trithio-kohlensäurederivaten unter formaler Abspaltung von S2O zu den Imoniumsalzen 5, 7, 10 und 12. Die Rotationsbarriere um die CN-Bindung wird für 10 zu 69.5 und für 12 zu 77.8 kJ/mol bestimmt.

    Description / Table of Contents: Polyhydroxyamino Compounds via Diene Synthesis with Nitroso Compounds, IV.  -  Preparation and Stereochemistry of Dideoxyinosamine DerivativesThe general method for the synthesis of polyhydroxy amines by Diels-Alder reactions with a nitroso compound, reduction of the adduct with cleavage of the N  -  O bond and hydroxylation of the remaining C = C-double bond, can also be realized with α-chloronitrosocyclohexane as dienophile, in good yield. Primary amines are synthesized in this way.
    Notes: Der generelle Weg zur Synthese von Polyhydroxyaminen über die Stufen Diels-Alder-Reaktion mit einer Nitrosoverbindung, Reduktion des Adduktes unter Spaltung der N  -  O-Bindung und Hydroxylierung der verbliebenen C = C-Doppelbindung, ist auch mit α-Chlornitrosocyclohexan als Reagens in guter Ausbeute realisierbar; er führt zu primären Aminen.

The structure of the substituted compound 3a was determined, the course of the complex reaction is discussed.

However, attempts to synthesize inosamines by this method failed.
    Notes: Die Verwendung von 1,3-Cyclohexadien-5,6-dicarbonsäurederivaten 1 als Edukte für die Reaktionsfolge: Diels-Alder-Reaktion mit Nitrosoverbindungen, Reduktion der Addukte, Hydroxylierung, führt zwar zu hexasubstituierten Cyclohexanen; Versuche zur Inosaminsynthese auf diesem Wege scheiterten jedoch.

Reaction of the imonium slats (CH3)2)N⊕ = S = O X⊖ (3a and 4) thus prepared with dienes proceeds by 1,4-addition of the N = S group with formation of the thiazinium compounds 6 and 7. Diazomethane reacts with imonium salts 4 to give aziridinium salt 11.
    Notes: N-Sulfinylmethylamin kann mit Oxoniumsalzen am N-Atom alkyliert werden. Die Umsetzung der so dargestellten Imoniumsalze (CH3)2N⊕ S = O X⊖ (3a und 4) mit Dienen erfolgt unter 1,4-Addition der N = S-Gruppierung zu den Thiaziniumverbindungen 6 und 7. Diazomethan reagiert mit dem Imoniumsalz 4 zum Aziridiniumsalz 11.
