Complexes of (CH3)2SeO with the metal perchlorates M(ClO4)2 (M = Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd, Mg), M(ClO4)3 (M = Cr, Fe), AgClO4 and UO2(ClO4)2 are reported (formulas see above). The shifts of the Se=O stretching frequencies in the complexes show that oxygen is the donor atom. By means of magnetic moments, visible reflextion spectra and IR-data the possible structures of the complexis are discussed. The spectrochemical parameters Dq and B are calculated and the positions of (CH3)2SeO in the spectrochemical and the nephelauxetic series are deduced.

Durch Umsetzung von (CH3)2SeO mit den Metallperchloraten M(ClO4)2 (M = Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd, Mg), M(ClO4)3 (M = Cr, Fe), AgClO4 und UO2(ClO4)2 wurden die folgenden Komplexe isoliert [(CH3)2SeO = DMSeO]: [M(DMSeO)6](ClO4)2 (M = Mn, Co, Ni, Zn, Cd, Mg); [M(DMSeO)6](ClO4)3 (M = Cr, Fe); [Cu(DMSeO)4](ClO4)2; [Ag(DMSeO)2]ClO4 und [UO2(DMSeO)5](ClO4)2. Aus den IR-Spektren folgt für alle Komplexe koordinative Bindung des DMSeO über den Sauerstoff. Es wurden die magnetischen Momente der Cr-, Mn-, Fe-, Co-, Ni- und Cu-Komplexe ermittelt sowie die Elektronen-Reflexionsspektren aufgenommen. Daraus konnten strukturelle Angaben gewonnen werden. Aus den Elektonenspektren wurden die Dq- und B-Werte abgeleitet und das DMSeO in die spektrochemische und nephelauxetische Reihe eingeordnet.
