Crystals of NbO2,483 were prepared by chemical transport in the presence of NbCl5/NbOCl3 as transporting agent. NbO2,483 is consumed in the hot zone (1080°C) and deposited in the less hot zone (980°C). Pure NbO2,483 was prepared in the presence of a given molar ratio of CO2 and CO in order to keep p(O2) constant. From X-ray investigations the following lattice constants have been obtained: a = 63.52; b = 3.827; c = 21.150 Å; β = 94.08°. The structure is probably a combination of those of H—Nb2O5 and Nb25O62.

NbO2,483-Kristalle wurden durch chemischen Transport gewonnen; mit NbCl5/NbOCl3 als Transportmittel wandert NbO2,483 von 1080°C nach 980°C. Ein Zusatz von CO2 und CO in einem definierten Molverhältnis (“Pufferung der Gasphase” fördert die Abscheidung von reinem NbO2,483. Röntgenographische Untersuchungen ergaben die Gitterkonstanten a = 63,52 Å b = 3,827 Å c = 21,150 Å β = 94,08°. Die Struktur ist wahrscheinlich eine Kombination von Bauelementen der Verbindungen Nb25O62 und H—Nb2O5.
