    Notes: Abstract Extended x-ray-absorption fine structure and scanning electron microscopy have been applied to the structure of the vanadium oxide layers on impregnated and grafted vanadium aerosils. When aerosil is impregnated with NH4VO3 solution, V2O5 crystals are formed; when vanadium is grafted by reacting the oxychloride with carrier OH groups, there are no visible crystals. On the other hand, the EXAFS spectra for the grafted specimens show all the oscillations found for crystalline V2O5. It is concluded that the vanadium oxide layers in these grafted materials have a long-range order similar to that in V2O5 and contain microcrystals having sizes up to 5 nm.

Высказано предположение о связи каталитических свойств с образованием окисных группировок, содержащих ванадий и фофор с оптимальными кислотно-основными свойствами.
    Notes: Abstract It has been revealed that simultaneous immobilization of vanadium and phosphorus ions increases the activity and selectivity of vanadium-containing aerosils in n-butane oxidation. The catalytic properties are suggested to be dependent on the formation of mixed oxide surface V−P/SiO2 clusters having optimal acid-base characteristics.

    Notes: Abstract V-P/Si02 samples obtained by impregnation and grafting with different contents of vanadium and phosphorus have been studied by ESR, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and fine-structure x-ray absorption (FSXA). It is shown that, independent of the method of synthesis, the vanadium concentration and the P/V ratio, the surface region of the carrier consists of a crystalline β- VOPO4 phase with a low concentration of V4+ ions.

Показано, что малеиновый ангидрид образуется в основном за счет кислорода газовой фазы.     Notes: Abstract Pulse microcatalytic studies of the catalytic oxidation of butane and the reduction of (VO)2P2O7 have revealed that maleic anhydride forms mainly due to gas phase oxygen. Complete oxidation products are formed at the expense of the oxidation of chemisorbed molecules by lattice oxygen.

    Description / Table of Contents: Abstract Импульсным микрокаталитическим методом в установках проточного типа с неподвижным и вибровзвешенным слоем катализатора изучен механизм окисления н-бутана на α-VOPO4. Установлено равенство скоростей катализа и восстановления, свидетельствующее об окислтельно-восстаовительном механизме преврщения бутана и образования малеинового ангидрида. Показано, что в процессе катализа продкты реакции образуются, в основном, зт счет кислорда катализатора и происходит восстановление α-VOPO4 в (VO)2P2O7.
    Notes: Abstract Mechanism of n-butane oxidation of α-VOPO4 has been studied in pulse fixed and vibrofluidized catalyst bed reactors by the pulse microcatalytic method. It has been established that the rates of catalysis and reduction are similar, which indicates a reduction-oxidation mechanism for butane conversion and maleic anhydride formation. In the course of catalysis the reaction products are formed largely at the expense of catalyst oxygen and α-VOPO4 reduces to (VO)2P2O7.

    Notes: Abstract The external ocean biotopes (contours), i.e. the ocean interfaces with the atmosphere, rocky, sandy, muddy shores and river waters are active surface areas providing the most favourable conditions for the development of life-forms. The contour communities (contourobionts) form the external biological structure of the oceans. Due to their location the contour communities are exposed to environmental factors much more heavily than the communities inhabiting the water column. Therefore they can be used as biological indicators of the borders of marine impact zones. They are of special significance for integrated global ocean monitoring. Systematic observations of the conditions of contour communities and individual contourobionts provide valuable information on the man-made changes in the seas and oceans.
