    Description: In this work, we study the microwave field driven domain wall (DW) motion in an antiferromagnetic nanowire, using the numerical calculations based on a classical Heisenberg spin model with the biaxial magnetic anisotropy. We show that a proper combination of a static magnetic field plus an oscillating field perpendicular to the nanowire axis is sufficient to drive the DW propagation along the nanowire. More importantly, the drift velocity at the resonance frequency is comparable to that induced by temperature gradients, suggesting that microwave field can be a very promising tool to control DW motions in antiferromagnetic nanostructures. The dependences of resonance frequency and drift velocity on the static and oscillating fields, the axial anisotropy, and the damping constant are discussed in details.     Description: In the Chinese south-western Tianshan (U)H P belt, former lawsonite presence has been predicted for many (U)H P metamorphic eclogites, but only a very few lawsonite grains have been found so far. We discovered armoured lawsonite relicts included in quartz, which, on its part, is enclosed in porphyroblastic garnet in an epidote eclogite H711-14 and a paragonite eclogite H711-29. H711-14 is mainly composed of garnet, omphacite, epidote and titanite, with minor quartz, paragonite and secondary barroisite and glaucophane. Coarse-grained titanite occasionally occurs in millimetre-wide veins in equilibrium with epidote and omphacite and relict rutile is only preserved as inclusion in matrix titanite and garnet. H711-29 shows the mineral assemblage of garnet, omphacite, glaucophane, paragonite, quartz, dolomite, rutile and minor epidote. Dolomite and rutile are commonly rimed by secondary calcite and titanite, respectively. Porphyroblastic garnet in both eclogites is compositionally zoned and exhibits an inclusion-rich core overgrown by an inclusion-poor rim. Phase equilibria modelling predicts that garnet cores formed at the P -peak (490-505 °C and 23-25.5 kbar) and coexisted with the lawsonite eclogite facies assemblage of omphacite + glaucophane + lawsonite + quartz. Garnet rims (550-570 °C and ~20 kbar) grew subsequently during a post-peak epidote eclogite facies metamorphism and coexisted with omphacite + quartz ± glaucophane ± epidote ± paragonite. The results confirm the former presence of a cold subduction zone environment in the Chinese south-western Tianshan. The P-T evolution of the eclogites is characterized by a clockwise P-T path with a heating stage during early exhumation (thermal relaxation). The preservation of lawsonite in these eclogites is attributed to isolation from the matrix by quartz and rigid garnet, which should be considered as a new type of lawsonite preservation in eclogites. The complete rutile-titanite-transition in H711-14 took place in the epidote eclogite facies stage in the presence of an extremely CO 2 -poor fluid with X (CO 2 ) [CO 2 /(CO 2 + H 2 O) in the fluid] 〈〈0.008. In contrast, the incomplete rutile-titanite-transition in H711-29 may have occurred after the epidote eclogite facies stage and the presence of dolomite reflects a higher X (CO 2 ) (〉0.01) in the coexisting fluid at the epidote eclogite facies stage.     Description: By adjusting the focus geometry of a spatially structured laser pulse, single, double, and treble quasi-monoenergetic electron beams were generated, respectively, in laser-wakefield acceleration. Single electron beam was produced as focusing the laser pulse to a single spot. While focusing the laser pulse to two spots that are approximately equal in energy and size and intense enough to form their own filaments, two electron beams were produced. Moreover, with a proper distance between those two focal spots, three electron beams emerged with a certain probability owing to the superposition of the diffractions of those two spots. The energy spectra of the multiple electron beams are quasi-monoenergetic, which are different from that of the large energy spread beams produced due to the longitudinal multiple-injection in the single bubble.

    Description: Cold atmospheric-pressure plasmas have potential to be used for endoscope sterilization. In this study, a long quartz tube was used as the simulated endoscope channel, and an array of electrodes was warped one by one along the tube. Plasmas were generated in the inner channel of the tube, and their propagation characteristics in He+O 2 feedstock gases were studied as a function of the oxygen concentration. It is found that each of the plasmas originates at the edge of an instantaneous cathode, and then it propagates bidirectionally. Interestingly, a plasma head with bright spots is formed in the hollow instantaneous cathode and moves towards its center part, and a plasma tail expands through the electrode gap and then forms a swallow tail in the instantaneous anode. The plasmas are in good axisymmetry when [O 2 ] ≤ 0.3%, but not for [O 2 ] ≥ 1%, and even behave in a stochastic manner when [O 2 ] = 3%. The antibacterial agents are charged species and reactive oxygen species, so their wall fluxes represent the “plasma dosage” for the sterilization. Such fluxes mainly act on the inner wall in the hollow electrode rather than that in the electrode gap, and they get to the maximum efficiency when the oxygen concentration is around 0.3%. It is estimated that one can reduce the electrode gap and enlarge the electrode width to achieve more homogenous and efficient antibacterial effect, which have benefits for sterilization applications.

    Description: In this paper, we analyse the connection between approximate non-linear self-adjointness of perturbed partial differential equations (PDEs) and non-linear self-adjointness of the corresponding unperturbed PDEs, and consequently provide a simple approach to discriminate approximate non-linear self-adjointness of perturbed PDEs. Moreover, a succinct approximate conservation law formula by virtue of the known conservation laws of the corresponding unperturbed PDEs is given in an explicit form. As an application, we classify a class of perturbed wave equations to be approximately non-linearly self-adjoint and construct its general approximate conservation law formula. The specific examples demonstrate that approximate non-linear self-adjointness can be used to construct new approximate conservation laws of perturbed PDEs.

    Description: The measurement of internal magnetic fluctuation is important for the study of transport in tokamak plasmas. The runaway electron transport induced by the sawtooth crash can be used to obtain the internal magnetic fluctuation. Inversed sawtooth-like activities on hard x-ray (HXR) fluxes following sawtooth activities were observed after the application of electrode biasing on J-TEXT tokamak. The runaway diffusion coefficient D r is deduced to be about 30 m 2 /s according to the time delay of HXR flux peaks to the sawtooth crashes. The averaged value of normalized magnetic fluctuation in the discharges with electrode biasing was increased to the order of 1 × 10 −4 .

    Description: Influence of the system temperature on the micro-structures and dynamics of dust clusters in dusty plasmas is investigated through laboratory experiment and molecular dynamics simulation. The micro-structures, defect numbers, and pair correlation function of the dust clusters are studied for different system temperatures. The dust grains' trajectories, the mean square displacement, and the corresponding self-diffusion coefficient of the clusters are calculated for different temperatures for illustrating the phase properties of the dust clusters. The simulation results confirm that with the increase in system temperature, the micro-structures and dynamics of dust clusters are gradually changed, which qualitatively agree with experimental results.

    Description: When the energy of confined runaway electrons approaches several tens of MeV, the runaway electrons can emit synchrotron radiation in the range of infrared wavelength. An infrared camera working in the wavelength of 3-5 μm has been developed to study the runaway electrons in the Joint Texas Experimental Tokamak (J-TEXT). The camera is located in the equatorial plane looking tangentially into the direction of electron approach. The runaway electron beam inside the plasma has been observed at the flattop phase. With a fast acquisition of the camera, the behavior of runaway electron beam has been observed directly during the runaway current plateau following the massive gas injection triggered disruptions.
