Notes: Because of indeterminateness of the environment and delay of the communication, deep space spacecraft is required to be autonomous. Planning technology is studied in order to realize the spacecraft autonomy. First, a multi-agent planning system (MAPS) based on temporal constraint satisfaction is proposed for concurrency and distribution of spacecraft system. Second, timeline concept is used to describe simultaneous activity, continue time, resource and temporal constraints. Third, for every planning agent in the MAPS, its layered architecture is designed and planning algorithm based on the temporal constraint satisfaction is given in detail. Finally, taking some key subsystems of deep space explorer as an example, the prototype system of MAPS is implemented. The results show that with the communication and cooperation of the planning agents, the MAPS is able to produce complete plan for explorer mission quickly under the complex constraints of time and resource.

Notes: Abstract Perhydrotriphenylene (PHTP) forms channel-like adducts with molecules of different size and molecular weight. In the crystal structure of the adduct the included long sequences of molecules are separated from each other by the channel walls. The optical properties of the included molecules differ from those of the bulk molecules. The phase diagram of mixtures of PHTP and trans stylbene and 4H-cyclopenta [2,1-b∶3,4-b′] dithiophene (CPDT) were determined by DSC experiments. Ideality in the liquid phase was observed only in the PHTP/CPDT system.

Notes: In the previous parts of this series, a mathematical procedure was developed for the derivation of molecular size distribution functions of polymers generated in several ionic polymerizations. This paper follows this mathematical procedure to treat theoretically the kinetics of cationic and anionic polymerizations with instantaneous initiation, chain transfer to monomer, and spontaneous termination. The expressions of molecular size distribution functions and other molecular parameters are derived rigorously. Moreover, the simultaneous influence of chain transfer to monomer and spontaneous termination on molecular size distribution is illustrated by means of several numerical examples.

Notes: In this paper, the simultaneous effect of impurity termination and chain transfer to monomer on the molecular size distribution for the anionic polymerization with instantaneous initiation was studied theoretically in detail. The rigorous expressions for the molecular size distribution function and other molecular parameters were derived from a set of kinetic differential equations by means of the non-steady state method. In accordance with these expressions, several examples of numerical calculation are given and a comparison is made between the polymerization system with chain transfer to monomer and that without monomer transfer.

Notes: The theoretical approach to free-radical polymerization in the presence of polyfunctional transfer agents can be derived in a simple way if the effects of primary chains and termination reactions are neglected. Under these conditions, and for values of the chain transfer constant C = 1, the analytical expressions for the number- and weight-average degree of polymerization, dispersion index and weight distribution function were derived through the elementary probability theory and generating functions. Numerical examples are reported on the relationship between distribution parameters, functionality and monomer conversion.

Notes: In this part of the series, the influence of polyfunctional chain transfer agents with transfer constant C ≤ 1 on the molecular weight distribution was studied. The analytical expressions for the number- and weight-average degree of polymerization, and dispersion index were derived by kinetic and statistical methods. The expression for the molecular weight distribution can only be obtained by statistical methods. Some numerical examples on the dependence of distribution parameters as a function of the functionality of transfer agents f and transfer constants are illustrated. A critical value of the chain transfer constant was found to exist, which permits the synthesis of linear (for f = 2) or branched polymers (f 〉 2) with DPw/DPn approximately equal to 2 during the entire course of the polymerization.

Notes: Polymerization of methyl methacrylate was carried out in the presence of polyfunctional chain transfer agents: 1,6-hexanedithiol, trimethylolpropaneb tris(mercaptoglycolate) and pentaerythritol tetrakis(3-mercaptopropionate). The theoretical results reported in the preceding papers are completely confirmed: the experimental values of the dispersion index (D = M̄w/M̄n) are 1.62 for f = 2, 1.39 for f = 3 and 1.28 for f = 4. In the case of bifunctional transfer agents the molecular weights calculated are in very good agreement with those obtained by size exclusion chromatography. The formation of star-shaped macromolecules was confirmed by cleavage of the C—S—C bonds. The number-average molecular weight decreases and the dispersion index is approximately equal to 2 after exposure to UV rays. The phenomenon of “pseudo-living” polymerization in the presence of polyfunctional chain transfer agents is also discussed.

Notes: A mathematical procedure is developed to deal with the kinetics of ionic polymerization with impurity transfer and instantaneous initiation. Besides the technique of variable transformation, the integration of an implicit function is applied. The expressions of the molecular size distribution function and other molecular parameters are derived regorously, and several examples for numerical computations are given.

Description: This study aimed to explore the effects of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) on apoptosis and cell cycle in a zebrafish (Danio rerio) liver cell line (ZFL). Treatment groups included a control group, PFOA-IC50, PFOA-IC80, PFOS-IC50 and PFOS-IC80 groups. IC50 and IC80 concentrations were identified by cellular modeling and MTT assays. mRNA levels of p53, Bcl-2, Bax, Caspase-3 and NF-κB p65 were detected by qPCR. Cell apoptosis and cell cycle were detected by flow cytometry and the protein levels of p53, Bcl-2, Bax, Caspase-3 and NF-κB p65 were determined by western blotting. Both PFOA and PFOS inhibited the growth of zebrafish liver cells, and the inhibition rate of PFOS was higher than that of PFOA. Bcl-2 expression levels in the four groups were significantly higher than the control group and Bcl-2 increased significantly in the PFOA-IC80 group. However, the expression levels of Bax in the four treatment groups were higher than the control group. The percentage of cell apoptosis increased significantly with the treatment of PFOA and PFOS (p 〈 0.05). Cell cycle and cell proliferation were blocked in both the PFOA-IC80 and PFOS-IC80 groups, indicating that PFOA-IC80 and PFOS-IC50 enhanced apoptosis in ZFL cells.
