Description:
Article Cancer cells rely on glutamine to replenish the TCA cycle. Here, the authors show that oncogenic PIK3CA mutations drive this metabolic rewiring in colorectal cancer cells by up-regulating glutamate pyruvate transaminase expression, thus increasing sensitivity to glutamine starvation.
