Summary For the analysis of inclusions by atomic absorption photometry, decomposition either by melting or by autoclaving at elevated pressure is suitable, but the autoclave procedure is preferable, because the small quantities of acid required produce fewer disturbances. The accuracy attainable is perfectly satisfactory for the analysis of non-metallic inclusions, since the errors due to inhomogeneity, to the preparation of the sample, and to small variations in weight, are greater.

Zusammenfassung Sowohl der Aufschluß in der Schmelze als auch im Autoklaven bei erhöhtem Druck sind für die atomabsorptionsphotometrische Einschlußanalyse geeignet, wobei der Autoklavaufschluß vorzuziehen ist, da wegen der minimalen Säuremenge weniger Störungen auftreten. Die erzielbare Genauigkeit genügt vollkommen für die Analyse nichtmetallischer Einschlüsse, weil die Fehler infolge Inhomogenität, Probeaufbereitung und kleineren Gewichtsabweichungen größer sind.
