    Description / Table of Contents: X-Ray Investigations and Structure Chemistry of Chalkogenomolybdates and - tungstates. I.Crystallographic data of compounds of the type A2MeX4, A2MeOX3, and A2MeO2X2 (A = K, NH4+, Rb, Cs; (Me = Mo, W; X = S, Se) are discussed and general trends are illustrated. The molybdates and tungstates A2MeX4 and A2MeOX3 (A = K, NH4+, Rb, Cs; X = S, Se) crystallize in the rhombic space group D2h16—Pnma. The compounds (NH4)2MeO2X2 (Me = Mo, W; X = S, Se) crystallize in the monoclinic space group C2h6—C2/c.
    Notes: Die röntgenkristallographischen Daten von Verbindungen des Typs A2MeX4, A2MeOX3 und A2MeO2X2 (A = K, NH4+, Rb, Cs; Me = Mo, W; X = S, Se) werden systematisch untersucht. Die Molybdate und Wolframate des Typs A2MeX4 und A2MeOX3 (A = K, NH4+, Rb, Cs; X = S, Se) kristallisieren rhombisch in der Raumgruppe D2h16—Pnma im β-K2SO4-Typ. Die Verbindungen (NH4)2MeO2X2 (Me = Mo, W; X = S, Se) kristallisieren monoklin in der Raumgruppe C2h6—C2/c.

    Description / Table of Contents: Transition Metal Chalkogen Compounds. Preparation, I.R. spectra, Raman Spectra, and X-Ray Investigations on Compounds of the Type A3(MeOS3)CI and A2 MeOS3(A = K, Rb; Me = Mo, W)The preparation, vibrational spectra, and x-ray data of compounds of the type A3(MeOS3)Cl and A2MeOS3 (A = K, Rb; Me = Mo, W) are reported. K3(MoOS3)Cl, K3(WOS3)Cl, and Rb3(WOS3)Cl are novel salts which can be prepared by passing H2S through strong alcaline aqueous MoO42- and WO42- solutions containing KCl or RbCl. The salts crystallize in space group Pca21—C2v5 (No. 29) (Z = 4) with discrete MeOS32- tetrahedrons. The compounds A2MeOS3 (A = K, Rb; Ne = Mo, W) which are in part precipitable only by addition of organic solvents crystallize in space group Pnma—D2h16 (No. 62) with four formula units per unit cell.
    Notes: Es wird über die Darstellung, Schwingungsspektren und röntgenkristallographischen Daten von Verbindungen des Typs A3(MeOS3)Cl und A2MeOS3 (A = K, Rb; Me = Mo, W) berichtet. K3(MoOS3)Cl, K3(WOS3)Cl und Rb3(WOS3)Cl sind neuartige Doppelsalze, die beim Einleiten von H2S in wäßrige stark alkalische MoO42-- bzw. WO42--Lösungen in Gegenwart von KCl bzw. RbCl ausfallen. Die Salze kristallisieren in der Raumgruppe Pca21—C2v5 (Nr. 29) (Z = 4) mit isolierten MeOS32--Tetraedern. Die Chalkogenometallate A2MeOS3, die man z. T. lediglich durch Zugabe organischer Lösungsmittel ausfällen kann, kristallisieren in der Raumgruppe Pnma—D2h16 (Nr. 62) mit Z = 4.

    Description / Table of Contents: On Compounds of the Type Cu3MSxSe4-x(M = Nb, Ta). Determination of Crystal Structure of Cu3TaSSe3The preparation, X-ray data, vibrational, and electronic spectra of Cu3NbS3Se, Cu3NbS2Se2, Cu3NbSSe3, Cu3TaS3Se, Cu3TaS2Se2, and Cu3TaSSe3 are reported. The powder patterns of all compounds could be indexed on the basis of a simple cubic lattice. The compounds crystallize in pseudo-sulvanite type with the sulfur and selenium atoms in random distribution.
    Notes: Es wird über die Darstellung, röntgenographische Untersuchung sowie Elektronen- und Schwingungsspektren von Verbindungen des Typs Cu3MSxSe4-x(M = Nb, Ta) berichtet. Die Verbindungen Cu3NbS3Se, Cu3NbS2Se2, Cu3NbSSe3, Cu3TaS3Se, Cu3TaS2Se2 und Cu3TaSSe3 kristallisieren kubisch im Pseudo-Sulvanit-Typ mit statistischer Verteilung der S- und Se-Atome im Gitter. Von Cu3TaSSe3 wurde die vollständige Kristallstruktur bestimmt.

II.The chalkogenomolybdates and -tungstates (NH4)2MoS3Se, (NH4)2MoS2Se2, (NH4)2MoSSe3, (NH4)2WSSe3, Cs2MoS2Se, Cs2MoS2Se, Cs2MoSSe3, Cs2WSSe3, Cs2MoOS2Se, Cs2WOS2Se, Cs2MoOSSe2, and Cs2WOSSe2 are investigated by means of X-ray powder diffractometry. All compounds crystallize orthorhombic in spacegroup D2h16—Pnma and are isomorphous with β-K2SO4. Systematic relations between lattice constants and occupation of atomic positions in the unit cell are discussed.

    Description: Immunization of mice with a 14-mer peptide TKDNNLLGRFELSG, termed “TKD,” comprising amino acids 450–461 (aa450–461) in the C terminus of inducible Hsp70, resulted in the generation of an IgG1 mouse mAb cmHsp70.1. The epitope recognized by cmHsp70.1 mAb, which has been confirmed to be located in the TKD sequence by SPOT analysis, is frequently detectable on the cell surface of human and mouse tumors, but not on isogenic cells and normal tissues, and membrane Hsp70 might thus serve as a tumor-specific target structure. As shown for human tumors, Hsp70 is associated with cholesterol-rich microdomains in the plasma membrane of mouse tumors. Herein, we show that the cmHsp70.1 mAb can selectively induce antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) of membrane Hsp70+ mouse tumor cells by unstimulated mouse spleen cells. Tumor killing could be further enhanced by activating the effector cells with TKD and IL-2. Three consecutive injections of the cmHsp70.1 mAb into mice bearing CT26 tumors significantly inhibited tumor growth and enhanced the overall survival. These effects were associated with infiltrations of NK cells, macrophages, and granulocytes. The Hsp70 specificity of the ADCC response was confirmed by preventing the antitumor response in tumor-bearing mice by coinjecting the cognate TKD peptide with the cmHsp70.1 mAb, and by blocking the binding of cmHsp70.1 mAb to CT26 tumor cells using either TKD peptide or the C-terminal substrate-binding domain of Hsp70.
