Notes:
Summary The change of the coordination sites S and O to the coordination sites Se and O resp. S and S of the N,N-diakyl-N′-benzoylurea-chelates studied in this paper leads to an increase of stability of metal ions with dominating (b)-character and of the acidic strength of the chelating agents. N,N-Diethyl-N′-benzoylurea (coordination sites O,O) forms no complexes by the conditions of potentiometric titration. The change from ethyl- to butyl-substitution at the carbamide side of the chelating agent with constant chalcogen sites leads to an increase of stability of the neutral chelates and to a decrease of the acidity of the ligands. Considering the acidic strength of the chelating agents the pH-range of complexation is referred to the stability of the examined metal chelates.
