Baron Phonons in iron pnictide materials were predicted to show large effects from magnetic ordering that had not been observed, and, indeed, the overall phonon dispersion has been in poor agreement with \textit{ab initio} calculations. By carefully detwinning a sample of SrFe 2 As 2 , clear phonon splitting was observed below T N , allowing the authors to suggest an improved model for the phonon response for both the antiferromagnetically ordered phase below T N and the paramagnetic phase above T N .
