    De zwarte vlieg Bibio venosus nieuw voor de Nederlandse fauna (Diptera: Bibionidae) (2014)

    Description: Zwarte vliegen behoren tot de muggen, maar door hun korte antennen doen ze oppervlakkig aan vliegen denken. De mannetjes zien er met hun grote kop en grote ogen heel anders uit dan de vrouwtjes, die een kleine kop met kleine ogen hebben. In het voorjaar vormen sommige soorten opvallend grote zwermen op windluwe plekken. Aan de 17 soorten die reeds uit Nederland bekend waren, kan er nu één worden toegevoegd: Bibio venosus.

    Description: Clitellaria ephippium, rediscovered in the Netherlands after 100 years (Diptera: Stratiomyidae) \nClitellaria ephippium has been found in the Netherlands only between 1870 and 1880 near Venlo. In 1999 a female of this beautifully coloured fly was caught near Tegelen. This locality is very close to the first site, in the northern part of the province of Limburg.

    Het klitgitje Cheilosia vulpina nieuw voor Nederland (Diptera: Syrphidae) (2012)

    Description: Veel zweefvliegen zijn geelzwart gekleurd, maar de gitjes (genus Cheilosia) zijn voornamelijk zwart. Het is een soortenrijke groep met veel determinatieproblemen. In 2012 werden maar liefst twee nieuwe soorten gitjes in Nederland gevonden. In dit artikel wordt Cheilosia vulpina toegevoegd aan de Nederlandse lijst. De larve van deze soort\nleeft in klit Arctium en als Nederlandse naam wordt daarom klitgitje voorgesteld.
