Notes:
Abstract Artefacts made of Staphylea pinnata seeds have been found in a grave dated to the late Roman period discovered in Pruszcz Gdański (northern Poland). This record is discussed against the background of the present-day distribution range of this species and its Holocene fossil localities. The role of man in the extension of the primary area of occurrence of the species has been emphasised.
