Notes: Abstract Crystals of the title compound belong to space groupP¯1, withZ=1. TheK + ions and the acidic protons occupy centers of symmetry. This and the very short O⋯O distance of 2.430 (9) Å classify the compound as a typeA acid salt. The infrared spectrum shows the υ s OHO band near 800 cm−1 with remarkably good definition at −170°C.

Description: During the cruise POS501 on board the German R/V Poseidon, we measured temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, fluorescence, and turbidity on 35 stations in the Madeira Basin, Northeast Atlantic in June 2016. We aimed to study the physical and biogeochemical conditions in the upper 2000 m of the water column in the catchment area of Kiel 276. The CTD stations are distributed along three meridians (23°W, 22°W, 21°W, and 20°W) and between 30° and 37°N to locate the Azores Front. The dissolved oxygen data is noisy below 1700 m Since there was no measurement of dissolved oxygen (Winkler titration) during the cruise, the data cannot be calibrated.

Description: This raw data of physical oceanography was acquired during research cruise EMB304 of 'RV Elisabeth Mann Borgese' from October 25th to November 02nd 2022. Thereby data was measured by a Seabird SBE911+ as part of a CTD-Rosette. Default onboard CTD system of EMB consists of the SBE9 with 2x SBE43 for oxygen, 2 SBE3 temperature sensors, PAR sensor, altimeter, fluorometer, turbidity meter and a down facing camera to estimate distance to the bottom. The CTD is operated with active heave compensation. Water is sampled with 13 free flow water bottles holding 10l each.

Description: Raw physical oceanography data was acquired by a ship-based Seabird SBE911+ CTD-Rosette system onboard RV MARIA S. MERIAN during research cruise MSM97/2. The CTD system is comprised of a Seabird SBE911Plus including dual respectively redundant sensor and pump packages. The SBE11plus Deck Unit remains on board in a laboratory and supplies on one hand power to the SBE9plus underwater unit, on the other hand data telemetry between the SBE9plus and a measurement PC. The SBE9plus underwater unit itself holds a pressure sensor and is interfacing with dual SEB3 temperature, SBE4 conductivity and SBE43 oxygen sensors and two SBE5 pumps to provide a pumped water supply past each sensor. The system also carries an optical FLNTU sensor to measure a combinations of back-scattering, turbidity, and chlorophyll-a. To quantify the photo-synthetically active radiation a PAR sensor is installed as well. Water sampling is supported via 24 Niskin water sample bottles holding 10L each, fired via a SBE32 carousel water sampler.

Description: The focus of hydrographic investigations during the cruise was on the impact of short term upwelling variability on oxygen and nutrient supply to the shelf, and on the response of primary production to short term upwelling peaks. Standard hydrographic parameters were gathered with a Seabird CTD along three transects at 17.3°S, 23°S and 25°S. We used a CTD SBE 911plus with a rosette water sampler to measure temperature, pressure, practical salinity, oxygen concentration, turbidity, fluorescence and irradiance. For details to all processing steps see Data Processing Report.
