Conclusions It has been shown that, with streptomycin production by strain No. 773 on a medium with 3–4% carbohydrates, an increase in quantity of inoculum to 11% as compared with that in use (7%) leads to a reduction in foaming, to improvement in fermentation conditions, and to an increase in streptomycin yield.
