Summary Thirty five plant species apartaining to 16 divisions, representing the main plant kingdom, as well as some soil samples collected under these plants, were analysed for Sc, Th, Cr, Co, Rb, Cs, Fe, Zn, and Ag. Higher amounts of scandium and thorium as well as of other elements were found in some fungi (Basidiomycetes) and bryophytes, whereas a lower content was found in angiosperms and gymnosperms. A higher silver content was found in some plant species.
