The Preparation of Trifluoroiodomethane, Bromotrifluoromethane, and Trifluoronitrosomethane by Chemical PlasmaThe reactions of C2F6 and CF3Cl with diatomic molecules have been investigated in an inductive coupled plasma (12 MHz). From the reactions of C2F6 or CF3Cl with iodine CF3I is obtained as the main product. By varying the experimental conditions also CF2ClI is formed. The reaction of C2F6 or CF3Cl with bromine yields CF3Br; the reaction of C2F6 or CF3Br with NO yields CF3NO.

Die Reaktionen von C2F6 und CF3Cl mit zweiatomigen Molekülen im induktiven Hochfrequenzplasma (12 MHz) wurden untersucht. Bei der Reaktion von C2F6 oder CF3Cl mit Jod wird als Hauptprodukt CF3J gebildet. Unter veränderten Versuchsbedingungen erhält man zusätzlich CF2ClJ. Die Reaktion von C2F6 oder CF3Cl mit Brom ergibt CF3Br; die Reaktion von C2F6 oder CF3Br mit NO ergibt CF3NO.
