Crystal and Molecular Structures of Tetramethylstibine Monofluoride (CH3)4SbF and Trimethylstibine Difluoride (CH3)3SbF2(CH3)4SbF crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group P212121 with lattice constants a = 1497.8 pm, b = 670.6 pm and c = 706.7 pm and four formula units per cell. The compound builds polymeric chains by bridging fluorine atoms; antimony is therefore sixfold coordinated. (CH3)3SbF2 crystallizes monoclinic in the space group P21/c with lattice constants a = 965.1 pm, b = 785.8 pm, c = 904.5 pm and β = 115.53°. Antimony is trigonal-bipyramidally surrounded by three equatorial carbon and two apical fluorine atoms. The Sb—C and Sb—F bondlengths show a good agreement and have the mean values 199.9 and 209.2 pm.
Notes:
