Description / Table of Contents:
Summary The known expressions for the radii of curvature of the Prandtl slipline-field are used to describe the radii of curvature in an adjoining field analytically by means of the Riemann integration method. This method can be used recurrently. In plane strain extrusion through square dies of large reductions, however, only the radii of curvature in the first adjoining field result in a non-integral form. The expressions derived are used to give analytic complete solutions for extrusion with reductions of 66.7–99.8%.
Notes:
