    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Die Extraktion von HCl, HNO3 und HClO4 mit Trioctylaminlösungen in Octan, CCl4, Benzol, CHCl3 und Nitrobenzol wurde untersucht und die Extraktionskonstanten bestimmt. Die Extrahierbarkeit nimmt in der Reihenfolge HCl〈 〈HNO3〈HClO4 zu. Mit Erhöhung der Solvatisierungsfähigkeit der Lösungsmittel wird die extrahierte Verbindung in der organischen Phase stabilisiert und die Extraktionskonstanten werden erhöht. Es wird gezeigt, daß die quantitative Bewertung der Extraktionskonstanten durch die Anwendung der vonKarapetjantz angegebenen Methoden für Vergleichsberechnung physikalisch-chemischer Größen möglich ist.
    Notes: Abstract The extraction of HCl, HNO3, and HClO4 with trioctylamine solutions in octane, CCl4, benzene, CHCl3, and nitrobenzene has been investigated and the extraction constants determined. The extraction increases in the order HCl〈HNO3〈 〈HClO4. With the increase of the solvation ability of the extraction agents, the extracted compound is stabilized in the organic phase and the extraction constants become higher. The possibility is shown for the quantitative evaluation of the extraction constants by using the methods proposed byKarapetyantz for the comparative calculation of physicochemical quantities.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Bei der Extraktion von Pr und Yb mitTBP aus Nitrat-Perchlorat-Lösung (Ionenstärke 3,5m, konstante Konzentration des Extraktionsmittels) bilden sich in der organischen Phase-außer den einfachen Tri- und Hexasolvaten-auch gemischte Nitrat-Perchlorat-Solvate folgender Zusammensetzung:Ln(NO3)2(ClO4) · 3TBP;Ln(NO3)(ClO4)2 · 3TBP;Ln(NO3)-(ClO4)2 · 6TBP;Ln(NO3)2(ClO4) · 6TBP. Die Aktivitätskoeffizienten der extrahierten Salze bleiben bei konstanter Ionenstärke unverändert, unabhängig von der Änderung des Verhältnisses ihrer Anionen.
    Notes: Abstract The extraction of Pr and Yb withTBP from a nitrate-perchlorate medium at an ionic strength of 3.5m and constant concentration of the extraction agent has been investigated. It was found that in the organic phase, besides the simple tri-and hexa-solvates, the mixed nitrate-perchlorate solvates of the following compositions are also formed:Ln(NO3)2(ClO4) · 3TBP;Ln(NO3)(ClO4)2 · 3TBP;Ln(NO3) · (ClO4)2 · 6TBP;Ln(NO3)2(ClO4) · 6TBP. The activity coefficients of the extracted salts, at a constant ionic strength remain unchanged, irrespective of the change of ratio between their anions.

    Description / Table of Contents: Zusammenfassung Es wurde die synergistische Extraktion von Pr, Gd und Yb mit einer Mischung aus Thenoyltrifluoraceton und Trioctylamin untersucht. Als Lösungsmittel wurden CCl4, C6H6 und CHCl3 verwendet. Die Zusammensetzung der extrahierten Komplexe wurde bestimmt, ebenso die Extraktionskonstanten und die Bildungskonstanten der Komplexe. Die Annahmen über die Koordinationszahl der Lanthanide werden besprochen. Die Untersuchung über den Einfluß der Lösungsmittel ergab, daß die Extraktion eines bestimmten Elements in der Reihenfolge CCl4〉C6H6〉CHCl3 erhöht wird.
    Notes: Abstract The synergistic extraction of Pr, Gd, and Yb with a mixture of thenoyltrifluoroacetone and trioctylamine has been investigated. The employed solvents were CCl4, C6H6, and CHCl3. The composition of the extracted complexes was determined, likewise, the extraction constants and the formation constants of the complexes. The assumptions about the coordination number of the lanthanides have been discussed. The investigation of the influence of the solvents showed that the extraction of one and the same element increases in the order CCl4〉C6H6〉CHCl3.

    Notes: Abstract The extraction of some lanthanides from an aqueous phase with ionic strength of μ=0.05 by a mixture of thenoyl-trifluoroacetone (HTTA) and 2-methylpyridine (α-picoline) in CCl4 has been investigated. The possibility has been shown for the formation of mixed tetra-β-diketonate complexes and no difference has been observed in the behaviour of the lanthanides of the two sub-groups.

    Notes: Abstract The extraction of Pr, Eu and Yb from a solution of Komplexon III (a disodium salt of ethylenediamine-tetraacetic acid) at constant ionic strength with a solution of Aliquat-336 (tri-n-octyl-methylammonium chloride) in benzene has been investigated. The dependence of the distribution coefficient on the pH of the aqueous phase was studied. The formation of the following kinds of extractable complexes was established: for Eu and Yb:LnY(OH)2−, for Pr:LnY(OH)2 3− at pH=ca. 9 andLnY − at pH lower than 7.

    Notes: Abstract The extraction of HSCN with Aliquat 336 (thiocyanide form) has been studied within a wide concentration range. The mechanism of the extraction process has been considered. It was established that at low concentrations (to about 0.05M-) the dimerized extracting agent reacts with HSCN according to the equation: (TKMA · SCN)20 + H w + +SCN w − ⇌ (TKMA · SCN)2HSCN o while at high concentrations, the quantitative description of the extraction is more complex, due to the high degree of association of the extracting agent. It was found that with the increase of HSCN concentration in the organic phase, the H2O content decreases, but the H2O replaced is less than the acid bound.
