Notes:
Conclusions 1. It is recommended that steels 4Kh3V2M2F and 4Kh3V8M be used in the manufacture of dies for hot forming of parts from heat-resistant alloys in forging machines. 2. These alloys are more economical than steels 3Kh2V8 and 5KhNV. 3. The dies made from the new steels manifast high durability, provided they are preheated to 400–500° prior to operation. 4. The following heat treatment conditions are recommended for dies made of steels 4Kh3V2M2F and 4Kh3V8M: quenching from 1125±15° in the air or in oil. The first temper at 625–650° should last for six hours, the second temper at 610–635°, for four hours.
