Description: Two new species of the genus Dugesia from Southern China are described by applying an integrative approach, including \nmorphological, karyological, histological, and molecular information. In the molecular phylogenetic tree, the two new species, \nDugesia pendula Chen & Dong, sp. nov. and Dugesia musculosa Chen & Dong, sp. nov., fall into an Eastern Palearctic/Oriental \nclade and an Oriental/Australasian clade, respectively, while sharing only a rather distant relationship. The separate specific \nstatus of the two new species is supported also by their genetic distances. Dugesia pendula is characterized by the following \nfeatures: symmetrical openings of the oviducts into the bursal canal, a duct between seminal vesicle and diaphragm, small \ndiaphragm, dorsally located seminal vesicle, a penis papilla suspended from the dorsal wall of the male atrium, and mixoploid \nkaryotype with diploid complements of 2n = 2x = 14 + 0 \xe2\x88\x92 1 B-chromosome and triploid complements of 2n = 3x = 21 + 0 \xe2\x88\x92 1 \nB-chromosome, with all chromosomes being metacentric. Dugesia musculosa is characterized by the following features: \nasymmetrical openings of the oviducts into the bursal canal; a ventrally displaced ejaculatory duct with a terminal opening; \ntwo diaphragms; a bursal canal provided with a strong, thick layer of circular muscle, which extends from the copulatory bursa \nto the common atrium and gonoduct; the left vas deferens opening at the midlateral wall of the seminal vesicle, while the right \nsperm duct opens at the dorsolateral wall of the seminal vesicle; and karyotype consisting of complicated diploid and \naneuploid mosaicism, with diploid complements of 2n = 2x = 16 and 2n = 2x = 16 \xe2\x88\x92 17th-18th, with all chromosomes being \nmetacentric. The uncommon karyotypes, combined with the asexual reproduction of aneuploid animals, are evaluated in the \ncontext of the relationship between ploidy levels and reproductive modalities in the genus Dugesia.

Notes: In this paper, the mechanical properties of several aluminum alloys are obtainedexperimentally at different temperatures, from room temperature to about 4000C by using theGleeble 1500 thermomechanical system. Besides, the thermal softening characteristics, effects ofheating rate and temperature holding time are discussed in details. It is found that the strength ofLF6, a kind of antirust aluminum alloy, is not sensitive to the heating rate (0.1-1000K/s) andtemperature holding time (0-1h). However, the mechanical behaviors of other alloys depend onthese factors very obviously. At last, these phenomena are discussed in the viewpoint of themicrostructures and techniques of ageing strengthening of these alloys

Notes: The purpose of this study is to obtain an upper bound solution of ECAP at 0 = ψ andφ=90 deg, which aims at analysis of the relations between ECAP upper bound pressure and the die angles of φ and ψ. The results show that the value of pressing load and the equivalent strain, e ε , decreases as the angle ψ increases at φ=90 deg, but the equivalent strain, e ε , decreases rapidly and no less than 0.90. The measured maximum load required for ECAP is in good agreement with the values obtained from the upper bound solution

Notes: BON film was fabricated as buffer layer by radio frequency plasma enhanced metal-organicchemical vapor deposition with 100 kHz frequency and trimethyl borate precursor. The typical bindingenergy of each element is 191.5 eV of B1s, 399.4 eV of N1s, and 531.2 eV of O1s in the films detected byXPS. HRTEM showed the film contained amorphous composition and nano-sized crystalline particles.Electrical properties of films were characterized by I–V curve. The order-magnitude of electricconductivity was measured as several tens ([removed info]·cm)-1. The hardness of BON film was ~ 10 GPa

Notes: Vibratory cutting is one of the newly developed machining techniques and theories inrecent years. Insight into the machining mechanism and the chip formation process in metalvibratory cutting has yet to be carried out for this technique to be used widely and efficiently. Butwith conventional investigation, it is much difficult, and time and energy consuming to analyze andstudy such principles quantitatively. A system of the computer simulation has been established andbased on FEM the chip formation process was emulated. The cutting forces and temperaturedistribution were imitated under condition of a variety of vibratory frequencies and turningengagements. ANSYS is utilized for the quantitative analysis. Contrast and comparison experimentsbetween vibratory and the conventional metal machining are done, revealing a good agreementbetween the simulation and the experiment and the inborn nature and the principles of the vibratorymetal cutting

Notes: Pure copper (99.98%wt) square bars (32x32 mm) were processed by equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) Microstructure evolution was characterized by microscopy. Room temperature mechanical properties were obtained by tensile and micro-hardness tests. With increasing number of ECAP passes and cold rolling reductions, the initial coarse grained structure in the as-received material was transformed gradually into an ultrafine grained microstructure with an average grain size of 0.2~0.3 μm. Subsequent rolling resulted deformation twining in this ultrafine grained microstructure, which gives further strengthening in addition to the strengthening obtained by ECAP. Property anisotropy in three orthogonal directions of samples processed by ECAP was characterized by tensile testing

Notes: Nano-grained WC-10Co hardmetal can be made by doping a new invented VC-basedmulti-grain-growth-inhibitor and suitable technical processing. The specifications for quantitativemeasurement of the grain size of WC in the alloy were investigated. It is very important to obtainthe SE images of the alloy with good contrast and clear profile of WC grains by FESEM; then thelinear intercept (LI) method was used to quantitatively measure the intercepts of WC grains. Whenthe surveyed intercept numbers of WC grain exceeded 200, the statistic data for the mean grain sizeof WC were reproduced. The discriminative minimal grain size of used LI method was 12 nm; themaximum intercept of WC grain was 109 nm; the average intercept of WC grains was 45 nm andthe corresponding 3D mean grain size of WC was 70 nm which is agreeable with the XRDoutcome

Notes: During the continuous casting process, physical properties of slab for continuous castingat high temperature have an important effect on the slab quality in different part and the curveestablishment of external target temperature for slab. It has significance to simulate and investigatethe physical behaviors of slab at high temperature during the continuous casting process.Investigation existent in this field is scarce around the world. Continuous casting process is acomplicated cooling process in unsteady state that sometimes the external temperature of slab willrise. In allusion to temperature rise and temperature drop, the paper simulated and investigated thephysical properties of slab AH36 at high temperature under conditions of different temperatures anddifferent temperature variation velocities, such as thermal expansion property, differential thermalanalysis curve (DSC), isobaric thermal capacity (CP) and so on. Results of the investigation haveprovided a scientific data base for a further study on continuous casting technology and qualitycontrol for steel AH36
