Description: This data consists of a set of images recorded during aerial drone surveys on 2017/09/07 and 2018/09/25 using a 3DR IRIS drone (unpiloted quadcopter), equipped with a Ricoh GR4 camera (16.2 sensor, 28mm focal length, maximum aperture f2.8, shutter speed faster than 1/1000th sec). For each survey, two flights were undertaken: nadir imagery from 60 m above ground level (agl) and oblique (ca. 20° from nadir) images from 55 m agl, providing mean ground sampling distances ca. 16 mm. Also contained are the outputs of Structure from Motion photogrammetry (SfM) processing, which includes point clouds and derived raster products such as Digital Surface Models, Terrain Models, Canopy Heights Models, and Digital Elevation models of difference. SfM photogrammetric processing was carried out using Agisoft Metashape (v1.5) and constrained using 40 fixed ground control points, the locations and spatially accuracies of which are also provided here. Surveys were undertaken at Clyst William Cross County Wildlife site, England which has an area of 10 ha and is located on the River Tale, a 4th order stream (lat: 50.820, long: -3.313). These data were recorded to evaluate changes in the canopy height within a complex willow (Salix sp.) dominant riparian woodland, following the reintroduction of beaver (Castor fiber) in 2016. Further, these data were used to test a range of error propagation methods for elevation change detection, using drone-based SfM photogrammetry, and consider their application in vegetated systems. The code required to reproduce the derived SfM prducts can be found here: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.5500199 and https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.5500203.

Description: The Princes Risborough card key for the identification of hardwoods has been in use for almost forty years. As first described by S. H. Clarke, it comprised sixty-four anatomical features and fourteen others, to cover geographical origin, colour, weight, etc.; but, with new knowledge and in the light of experience, it was modified and some additions made in 1961. No further change has been made since but it has been in daily use and some observations are given on the confidence with which some of the selected features can be used. In preparing the key for publication, it was sometimes necessary to make comparative studies of groups of timbers, often including others than those finally incorporated in the key, which was restricted, for publication purposes, to woods of commercial significance. In this work, not only the diagnostic but also the taxonomic value of some features was reviewed and comment is made on this. Examples are given of variability within units of classification; some causes for this are suggested, and examples cited where the evidence of wood anatomy is of special interest in respect of current classification.

Notes: Summary The pharmacokinetics of caffeine are greatly altered by concomitant administration of idrocilamide. In four healthy volunteers id rocilamide inhibited the biotransformation of caffeine and increased its half-life nine times. The untoward neuropsychiatric effects of idrocilamide are the consequence of abnormal accumulation of caffeine in regular consumers of caffeine-containing foods and beverages.

Topics: Chemistry and Pharmacology , Medicine
Notes: Summary The interaction between isofezolac and probenecid has been studied with the aid of a specific HPLC assay for isofezolac in plasma and urine. 8 healthy adult volunteers received a single 40 mg oral dose of isofezolac before and after 3 days of loading with 0.5 g probenecid t.i.d. There was an increase in the maximum plasma isofezolac concentration from 2.44 to 3.38 µg · ml−1 when probenecid was given. The AUC of isofezolac in plasma increased from 6.73 to 11.28 µg · h · ml−1. After the last dose in a 7 day treatment with 40 mg isofezolac t.i.d., there was an increase in the maximum plasma isofezolac level from 2.84 to 4.96 µg · ml−1 when probenecid was given. The rate of absorption of isofezolac was not affected. An increase in the AUC of isofezolac in plasma was observed from 11.74 to 26.34 µg · h · ml−1. The major effect of probenecid on isofezolac metabolism was a 50% reduction in total isofezolac (free+conjugates) excreted inurine. Because of this interaction, patients given isofezolac combined with probenecid will have a higher steady-state plasma level of isofezolac than when probenecid is not administered.
