Conclusions Tackling the optimization of the process of obtaining fusion-cast refractories from the electrophysics perspective should improve the quality of the goods of various compositions by controlling the energy and mass-exchange in an arc furnace and in the mold. The density and chemical homogeneity of the castings are increased, and the macro- and microstructure of the articles are increased. The results obtained were determined by designing a new complex of electrical equipment, and redesigning the furnace in order to implement the new principles, including fusing units and equipment for out-of-furnace processing of the castings.
