Notes: Abstract As a contribution to the enumeration of concealed non-Kekuléan helicenes, a construction method is applied to the caseh=14, whereh is the number of hexagons; computerized enumerations are given forh=14 and 15.

Description: This design mainly includes the design of blast furnace type, the design of furnace lining, the selection of blast furnace cooling equipment and the design of tuyere and iron outlet. The main body of blast furnace is divided into five parts: throat, body, waist, chamber and chamber. The cross section of the blast furnace is the circular ironmaking shaft furnace, the steel plate is used as the furnace shell, and the furnace shell lining is firebrick lining. At the same time, the design of blast furnace with small environmental pollution, the furnace body structure and auxiliary system must meet high temperature resistance, high pressure resistance, corrosion resistance, good sealing performance, reliable work and long service life to achieve high quality, low cost, high output, long life of furnace life. Good quality, high output, low consumption and other requirements. In the design of blast furnace body, the size of blast furnace body is calculated according to technical and ec...

Description: Slag splashing technology is a common method to realize the long life of converter, which has the advantages of reducing the consumption of refractory, reducing the maintenance time of converter and improving the economic benefit. According to the technology of slag splashing in converter, the technical principle of slag splashing in converter and the existing problems of slag splashing in converter are summarized. By the parameters of slag composition, slag splashing gun location, slag basicity and slag retention being changed, the technology of slag splashing in converter was optimized.

Description: β-SiC powders were synthesized by microwave sintering at 1400 - 1850°C for 60 min with coal minerals. Raw materials were prepared with a sol-gel method by coating SiO 2 on coal mineral particles, and microwave sintering was conducted in a microwave chamber with TE666 resonant mode. Heating rates were controlled by input microwave power and heating behavior during the microwave sintering was also investigated. XRD, SEM, Raman, TEM techniques were carried out to characterize samples. It was found that different particle size of coal mineral particles gave rise to different heating effect, leading to different growth mechanisms of SiC crystals. This might be the unique features for microwave sintering. Particular SiC crystals dominated for small coal mineral particles, which attributed to microwave plasma effect. While SiC whiskers or fibers dominated for large coal mineral particles, which corresponded to microwave coupling effect. Microwave coupling effect prevailed for low heating rate which was apt to form particular SiC crystals. Whereas, higher heating rate enhanced microwave plasma and primarily resulted in SiC whiskers or fibers. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.

Description: Improving intensity simulation and forecast of tropical cyclones has always been a challenge, although in recent years the track forecasts have been remarkably improved. In this study, we explore the sensitivity of typhoon simulation to three physical processes using a fully coupled atmosphere-ocean-wave model. Two storms, a strong and a weak one, have been chosen. The effects of wave breaking induced sea spray, ocean vertical mixing associated with non-breaking surface waves, and sea surface cooling due to intense rainfall are assessed by means of a set of numerical experiments. The results show and confirm that sea spray leads to an increase of typhoon intensity by enhancing the air-sea heat flux, while non-breaking wave-induced vertical mixing and rainfall lead to a decrease. Each process can be relevant, depending on wind and wave conditions. These can vary dramatically when typhoons interact with not sufficiently well-defined coastal areas, typically an archipelago. Compared with the control runs, when all the three physical processes are considered, the (absolute) difference between the modeled sea level pressure and best track data is reduced from 26.05 to 0.70 hPa for typhoon Haiyan, and from -9.42 to -8.67 hPa for typhoon Jebi. We have found a steady overestimate of the dimensions of the typhoons. We have verified an extreme sensitivity to the initial conditions, especially when small differences in the typhoon track may imply different relevance of the physical processes, like the ones we have considered, governing the evolution of the storm.
