Summary 1. It has been found that when 3,6-dihydro-2-phenyl-1,2,2H-oxazine is reduced by means of zinc dust and acetic acid under severe conditions, 1-phenyl-3-pyrroline is formed. acetic acid under severe conditions, 1-phenyl-3-pyrroline is formed. 2. It has been found that when 3,6-dihydro-2-phenyl-1,2,2H-oxazine is reduced by means of sodium and alcohol, N-2-butenylaniline is formed. 3. It has been shown that when 3,6-dihydro-2-phenyl-1,2,2H-oxazine is reduced to give 1-phenyl-3-pyrroline, 4-phenylamino-2-buten-1-ol is formed as an intermediate product.
