Conclusions Data from ESR measurements, density measurements, dynamic elastic modulus, and mean molecular orientation make it possible to establish a contribution of intermolecular interaction and polyconjugation to the strength characteristics of rigid-chain aromatic fibreforming polymers. The existence of two values of activation energy for the failure process of aromatic polyamides having identical chemical composition but with a different degree of polyconjugation of the aromatic nuclei is determined by the conditions of treatment of the fibres and their different supermolecular organization.
