Description:
Identification of recurrent USP48 and BRAF mutations in Cushing’s disease Identification of recurrent 〈i〉USP48〈/i〉 and 〈i〉BRAF〈/i〉 mutations in Cushing’s disease, Published online: 09 August 2018; doi:10.1038/s41467-018-05275-5 In this study the authors report USP48 and BRAF are frequently mutated in USP8 wild-type corticotroph adenomas, and cause Cushing’s disease mainly through promoting the promoter activity of POMC. Inhibition of BRAF may be a promising therapeutic strategy for the treatment of patients with BRAF-mutated corticotroph adenomas.
