Description:
Strain-specific unresponsiveness was induced in adult mice by immunizing them with donor blood treated with antiserum to Ia (I region-associated antigens) prior to the transplantation of islets of Langerhans. This regimen alone produced greater than 100-day survival of islet allografts transplanted across a major histocompatibility barrier.〈br /〉〈span class="detail_caption"〉Notes: 〈/span〉Faustman, D -- Lacy, P -- Davie, J -- Hauptfeld, V -- AI-12734/AI/NIAID NIH HHS/ -- AM-01226/AM/NIADDK NIH HHS/ -- GM-07200/GM/NIGMS NIH HHS/ -- New York, N.Y. -- Science. 1982 Jul 9;217(4555):157-8.〈br /〉〈span class="detail_caption"〉Record origin:〈/span〉 〈a href="http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/6806903" target="_blank"〉PubMed〈/a〉
